I think the arrangement is interesting, however they miss the point of the piece. The cadence that holds the music together is the miners mining the coal - this was washed out in this arrangement which detracted from the vibe of music. This was meant to be a protest, against Maggie. It wasn’t a feel good harmony with sonambulant strings doing the fills.

@stefanpeterwolf74586 жыл бұрын
Actually you're wrong. Song credits usually give the real name of the original songwriter(s) and the stage name of the original performing artist (plus the source like the album name). As songwriter he's credited as Gordon (Mathew) Sumner almost everywhere and as artist he's Sting and the respective album. Exactly as it's given on the screens of the polar price or any other official source, they list him twice with both names. Just google his songs and look at the serious references.

I'd be pissed off too to sit by and see someone kill one of my songs. Her voice is not appealing enough to enchant the audience and certainly not for this song. In this performance, back-up vocals would've made the overall performance so much better and pleasurable. When music feels "Naturally" or genuinely good, it's because it harmonizes with Our "Natural frequency"(pardon my French). I, can't say the same thing here.

No, I'm sorry I tried but no, I don't like her voice or her style and the way she presents, the way she moves and everything else in her. I prefer Sting's original version from his first solo album ''The Dream of the Blue Turtles''. As they all say, to each his own. And I don't feel that this song could be arranged for an orchestra, arrangements on the original version from Sting are far too coimplex to be arranged for an orchestra, there are too many sounds missing here, the synthesizers the percussions, I can't hear that in this new version. I'm sorry but it's a no for me.
