Just in case anyone is still confused, Rosé's stage name is Rosé ("Ro-zay"), her English name is Roseanne (nickname Rosie) and her Korean name is Chaeyoung (nickname Chaeng). Jisoo and Lisa usually call her by her Korean name, but I've also heard Lisa say Rosie a few times. Jennie almost always calls her Rosie since they often speak English to each other. Of course, if BP are on TV or something they'll use her stage name. That's a lot of names to keep track of 😂 P.S. Thanks for a reaction to my lovely bias 🖤💖

Jennie's NZ accent has gone accent neutral now, its not very instinctively NZ if you hear it at first, but there's certain words that sound very NZ. Rose has a pretty much metropolitan Aussie accent, however i gotta say its kind of disappearing a little bit as we see her now. If you wanna hear a really strong Aussie accent, watch Felix or even Chan from Stray Kids speaking English, in their first Vlive, or the early raps that they did, i was genuinely shocked at hearing an aussie accent in a korean rap.

LooYee yeah, not really a surprise. Moving back and forth between countries and then training at YG where almost all English-speakers have more of an American-ish accent (including BP's main producer) would influence most people's speech. I'm curious how long the Aussies on Stray Kids have trained at JYP? Are there other English-speakers in the group? Accents are fascinating to me cos they can be quite fluid.

Yeah, Rose is noticeably affected by the prominent American accents in YG and korea for the most part, and Jennie kind of as well, but then again she only grew up and was educated in NZ for a short period of time. Her accent is there but its a mixture now. Felix from stray kids from what i remember has only been in the country for 2 months from one of the episodes he said, but maybe 3 months then? Well anyways its been less than a year, and yeah his accent is HEAVY AS HELL. He sounds like me and my friends which is kind of freakin me out. Chan's been in JYP much longer, for 7 years. I haven't heard him speak much english, but when he does you can sorta tell. Especially in some of his raps. In their first vlive, you can see that Chan is so amused with Felix whenever he talks cos he understands the accent and everything. Im actually shocked at the amount of Aussie kids in JYP really, there's another girl trainee which i can't remember the name of, but yeah there are a couple that remain within JYP.

So true! Jennie still pronounces some words with a NZ accent, but majority of the time not really. For Rose, it's quite common for Asians (generally where I am at least 😂) to have an Australian accent with that American twang to it...especially when it comes to the 'R' pronunciation

LooYee Regarding Rose's accent I think it comes out when she's just having a normal conversation with anyone. Their Arirang Radio interview with a British DJ probably made her comfortable so her accent naturally slips in. I'm still quite confused with Jennie's because it literally changes in every vlive lmao. One moment, she'll be emphasizing her r's, then the next it completely disappears. In their recent show (Blackpink House), while making macarons, they had a short moment of "we need another bowl!" english-off and their accents are noticeable.
