@@chimchimsjamkookies4242 As a fine arts major, I can tell you that if you want to be a concept artist/designer for cars, that doesn’t require you to study engineering although possibilities can vary depending on people. But as an automotive designer, you need to have knowledge on the structural design/ inner works of cars to work with engineers who specifically studied manufacturing/mechanical portion of the field to know how the car can function. Mind you, those are totally different things. Designers don’t fix or physically make the cars, they just give out the visual ideas for engineers to take care of the technical parts of bringing it into reality.
