Thank you so much. You sound awesome too. I am happy to tell you that I have a fabulous life, I think in part because I am so honest. I wasn’t always. I have a wonderful husband of 35 years (don’t want to make it seem easy, that includes 30 years of marriage counseling!), I have taught 453 Chinese college students over a two year period (not contiguous) in China. I have given away 600 free bike helmets in China in an effort to promote safety, and I will give away more next year because less than 1% wear helmets on any style bike in China. They also don’t turn their lights on at night. And they have them. I love China and I love my student so I am thinking of all the ways that I can help China be more caring about the individual. Saving face is very important there and i’m trying to get it to extend to one’s whole body...

bill ding That is a very nice comment to a stranger. I am now a language researcher, and I’ve studied Chinese for 9 1/2 years; I have also studied Ancient Egyptian and Sumerian. My work is here: www.OriginOfAlphabet.com. I’ve also played with my husband in a rock band for 35 years. For the last 13 I’ve been in a band called Fingerpuppets where we throw fingerpuppets at drunk people: www.Fingerpuppetsrock.com I spend a lot of time in China because I love it there and I have a lot of friends and I love to practice Chinese. I started studying at age 52, and I can read about a fourth grade level book. I can speak for about a half an hour, but my comprehension is a little weak. 我常常听不懂。”I often hear, but I don’t understand.” This is the kind of cliché in Chinese. It’s good to know that you can start out “precariously weird”-and I have to admit, quite broke, which is why I went on Love Connection in the first place-and actually do fantastic in life. I certainly cannot complain. Honesty and creativity are my super powers. Looking at the world with the eyes of a scientist is also very important.

@FingerpuppetsRock2 жыл бұрын
@@rosemarywoodhouse4832Thanks for asking! It was at UCLA in 1978, but we don’t actually remember when it happened. We also don’t remember when we decided to get married. Mike says, “It’s all a blur.” I can tell you, one of the best things that I inadvertently did to make myself attractive to men was to say that I never wanted to get married. I wanted to be an actress, and I wrote my own musical to star in: Life is a Low-Budget Musical, which had six different productions, and even has a version with J.K. Simmons singing the lead (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ-ZY3aanK2WbpI). I didn’t want to marry, but I did like to party, and Mike and I kept running into each other at weddings, and re-realized how much we liked each other (he is very funny), so we would go to my place in Venice, have sex, and then in the morning he would say something really Republican and I would say, “Never again.” Then a year later, another wedding…. This happened for a few years. For the rest of the story, you’ll have to read: Higher Math, The Book Moose Minnion Never Wrote. books.google.com/books/about/Higher_Math.html?id=pHGVCTvXNMoC&printsec=frontcover&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_entity&hl=en&gl=ES&ovdme=1&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false But for the record, Mike is no longer a Republican. He’s a Democrat and I am more fiscally solvent. Thirty-three years of marriage counseling does make a difference, and I highly recommend it if you want a great marriage and an equitable partnership.
@rosemarywoodhouse48322 жыл бұрын
@@FingerpuppetsRock That's a cute story. 😊 I think, with dating, it can definitely help if there is a friendship first. That is so cool that J.K. Simmons was in your play! @@rosemarywoodhouse4832 I realize, in a way, you were also asking the question, “How does one find a good significant other?” And I realize that I inadvertently got a degree in Men because I tried everything to find a spouse even though I was adamant I would never get married (cognitive dissonance). I tried computer dating, the personals (double-dated with Weird Al-he wasn’t my date), Love Connection (both on the show and I dated a writer after being on), stand-up comedy (in the 1980’s, it was pretty much all guys), and more. And then once I found someone, we had some struggles (books.google.com/books/about/Catalyst.html?id=192SmRG3QfMC&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button&hl=en&redir_esc=y), which has caused us to go to marriage counseling for 33 years, and consequently, we have a wonderful partnership. Are there any stats on how many of these connections turned into marriages?
@FingerpuppetsRock2 жыл бұрын
Neither of mine did. I never even saw either of my “matches” again. I know that this date ended up in jail for a Ponzi scheme.

I think that Jennifer is an actress. They hired her to spice up the show.

I was trying to be. Everyone on this show is pretty much trying to be an actor. And that goes for most game shows. Who else has the time to waste?

Vivi Valencia: that is not accurate. I was on the fifth show, and they did vote.

Seeing as how you "loved" My comment 2 years later, I had to rewatch the episodes, and I still laughed just as hard as I did when I first seen it. Too bad you and I weren't friends in the real world, I'm sure we'd have hilariously great conversations! By the way, I love the idea of throwing finger puppets at drunk people! (I read that in one of your replies to someone else)

Tiff Covid stopped that for awhile, but I still give out tons of fingerpuppets. Less throwing…Now I research Chinese! Also bias in language. Here are my websites: www.OriginOfAlphabet.com www.HanziFinder.com Fingerpuppetsrock.com

Now I know what’s been perplexing me all my life and this gorgeous lady just told me … ‘COMPULSIVE INTIMACY’ explains a lot! 🤗 Too nice, too kind, too friendly and too much information. Hubby’s friend stopped me one day and said ‘ that’s too graphic’… so that’s why I started to listen more than I talk, therefore I’m BORING!

Don’t let them squelch you! I say, “Why censor yourself when everyone else is so willing to do it for you?”

I couldn't seem to find this Mark George. However, it seems to be a common name used for online scammers around the world. And, interestingly enough, a lot of them day they are doctors.
