This was a more polite time. Who knows what would come out of people’s mouths now. There was more nuance and mystery in the privacy and lack of social media, which is why hearing how things went on these dates was more interesting. I think this would be considered too boring by todays standards. There has been so much reality TV seeing everything about so many people’s lives that this would be slow paced and tame. I always liked it and and have not watched reality tv beyond the commercials, but todays younger generations would mostly find this boring.

I used to love watching this show daily back in the 80s through the 1990s. I even used to watch it while my mom was cooking in the kitchen. The most interesting dates were the bad ones! They were hilarious! The good dates were predictable and boring. This show would never last today. With all of the gender confusion, immorality, feminist politics, hate, and cancel culture it would be all trouble and negativity. The 1980s and 1990s were much simpler than the fuckin' hot mess that we are dealing with today.
