Lol, the guys job was to hand out fliers. Not a very ambitious job, akin to waving cars into parking lots or similar type jobs given to people who couldn't hold down jobs. Doesn't leave much of a 1st impression. Edit: Now after watching the post date interview, doesn't leave much of a 2nd impression either. Sounds like they could be brother / sister or girlfriends. When awkward meets awkward. I thought their date was going to be a disaster, but it turned out to be one of the cutest, sweetest, endearing, most charming and wholesome dates ever! Albeit weird in a fringe way, but still an endearing connection of outsider innocences. I think they just laughed and enjoyed each other's unpredictable energies the entire night. I agree! I love the sort of natural naïveté that things had back then. Same with movies, they weren’t produced within an inch of their life. @@joeh5538 There's no reason to be so nasty. Your comment is exactly what Rose was referring to--these days people are horribly cruel to each other on social media for fun because they can do it anonymously, and that casual, anonymous cruelty bleeds over into other areas of life. Before social media, people were more open and trusting in general, more willing to discuss and civilly disagree, whereas now they're very isolated by technology, stuck in their echo chambers, and lacking in social skills. That's not just my personal opinion; it's been shown in reams of social science research over the past 10-20 years.

I remember staying with my grandmother all the tine when I was a kid. Soon as I seen this video it brought back wonderful happy memories. I wish we still had this show , those were the good ole days. I remember I had to be in bed when this show would come on. I’d be in my grandmothers room with her and she is watching it thinking I’m asleep and I’m peaking from under the covers watching every minute . Hahaha I think now that I look back she knew I was up watching but she never said nothing and let me., Man those were awesome days... I miss my grandmother so much!

This yutz is the glaring reason I actively sought out thirtysomething guys. Up to a certain age, young guys strut around trying to impress and attract women with their bravado but really succeed in driving us away. No woman ever wants to hear the number of women you claim you've slept with.....and we always KNOW that number is inflated by double, triple or more. We laugh about it later with our friends.

@@raybennett8399 Is this the real Ray that was on the show? No way, that's amazing. Could you answer a question? How did the second date go, and did you keep dating her after the second date, have you kept in touch with her over these years at all? Also, how about Contestant #2? She said she "works out everyday" and "loves music". Those answers would've perked my ears up, any reason you didn't choose her?

Well there was no second date due to backstage she brought her boyfriend then basically I picked up the the check for 75 bucks at will call that's backstage and they that's where they hand out cash for you for your next date and that was pretty much it no dating after I think she got married or something I think she's on Facebook somewhere but no no dating no nothing and she brought her boyfriend go figure that was funny anyway but that's it that's all I got on that one hey thanks for watching

@@raybennett8399 You're the man Ray, on the show you came off looking like a fun, carefree guy. That's really a bummer she came with her boyfriend, that's just straight up evil. Why would she go on a dating show if she had a boyfriend? Not cool. Also, I've seen "The Decline of Western Civilization", I remember the part about Gazzarri's and remember '80s metal bands like Motley Crue talking about the Troubadour, I hope you had some fun in those clubs back then.
