Yeah, that's what it was like for Martina around the turn of the millennium... the power game was taking over and she would often beat one or two of the big-hitters with her smarts and tactics, but couldn't put them all away in a row. It's a shame injury forced her into early retirement. If she was able to just stay healthy and on top of her own game it's hard to imagine that a draw or two wouldn't have opened up, allowing her to win a couple more grand slams.
