The boat scene has to be one of the most hysterical and iconic tv scenes of all time. Btw, I saw an interview with Jennifer Coolidge that said she was extremely sea-sick during this scene and was literally vomiting in between takes. The fact that this woman was able to deliver this incredible performance basically while she was throwing up just shows how amazing of an actor she is.

Her entire performance throughout the series was incredible, and she was able to make me laugh and cry, sometimes within the same scene. But the eulogy on the boat is just fucking genius. Feel like it’s such a spot on depiction of how ungodly cringe we can be when we’re honest and vulnerable about our toxic upbringing to someone who wants to be romantically involved. It’s not like tv and we don’t have it all rehearsed. Sometimes we do come off as an unhinged f***ing mess, and it really hits different when you’re self aware.

I binged this while going through Covid. The whole series was pretty funny, but laughing was a bit painful, so I kept it close to the chest. But when the boat scene played out, I couldn't help it, and by the end of it, I was doubled over in pain from laughing out loud through the whole thing. Jennifer Coolidge is transcendental.
