i am not a biologist or medicine related, but i got engaged to the topic from book like the gene and the code breaker. Jennifer Doudna won the Nobel Prize in March for her CRSPR research. Arthur Isaacson has written a wonderful book about her "The Code Breaker".

@@BallyBoy95 well it depends on in which priesthood do you place your faith, the priests or the scientists. In any case your belief is mostly based on what they say. You don’t have any first hand knowledge of the vast majority of the scientific body. It is faith based one way or another, as is the nature of the human species.

@@tijan8948 Not necessarily. I study science myself and can test any assertions (hypotheses) being made. In religion, most claims cannot survive scientific scrutiny (e.g. replicating the act of turning water into wine). If you're religious, that's great. But science is a different domain entirely, primarily renowned for the fact that faith does not factor into the equation. In order for anything to be established as a scientific principle, it must be able to be replicated by strangers (no faith here).

They are exercising faith because the scientists, with their Atomic bombs, have better proofs than you can find in the Bible.
