Absolutely. To those saying no, you do realize she's already been nominated for 2 Grammy's and 2 Latin Grammy's? She's already a Grammy-nominated singer. Even if she doesn't win a competitive Grammy, she's eligible for the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award like Diana Ross did in 2012. And since we are on topic, she deserved the Grammy in 2001 for "Let's Get Loud". The fact that "Who Let The Dogs Out" won over her considering it was one of the worst songs of the year by multiple publications is not only tragic but also a disgrace from the academy. So to those who are saying no, don't talk to me about taste when countless legends and icons have no Grammy's.

Considering the role Motown played in breaking color barriers I can understand why some people would feel as they do but as Smokey said, "Motown is for everyone." However, a headliner for a tribute needs to make SOME sense. Someone who has soul elements in their own artistry like Bruno Mars, Adele or my girl Amy Weinhouse if she were still around (RIP) are examples of some non-black artists that wouldn't have had me...thoroughly confused.

the Grammy's was dead wrong for this.....Jennifer did not bring the deep soul needed to do the songs justice because even Motown pop songs were smothered in gravy......she is a good performer but its a no for me

She sang beautifully, I prefer this version than the original.

Mr Yazbek same here. This is why we have to support our queen and keep streaming her music because other stans of other fandoms try so hard to discredit JLo and end her career but we keep supporting her which is why they can’t.

It's trendy to hate on her and because she's latina doing a black tribute, they're mad.

Now I LOVE J Lo. Big fan. I like this performance but I also understand the backlash: This spot could have used to elevate a black female performer (especially one with a darker skin tone) instead of a lightskin/latina. Colorism and mysoginoir is real. Black men in the music business are notorious for this. However, BIG props to J lo for killing this performance. ❤🎉

I think she did an Amazing job!! People need to chill with this whole thing of she ain't Black, chill the fuck out!! People taking this to a level that ain't necessary. My God when is this shit going to STOP!!

When the bullshit of high jacking Black culture and pushing Black people to the side in the process stops. That's when. It was Black History Month not Puerto Rican Month. How insulting .

Jlo is good. Its her tribute to motown. Those black artists can also have their own tribute anytime at any awards show. Jlo expressed her admiration to motown how it influenced her so it is appropriate that she do that tribute. Stop whining yo black people. Jlo is the best. You are just jealous that a latina did it accusing her of stealing your music. I am a filipino and i love to do a tribute to motown anytime.

Wrong. Wrong choice. Black music tribute should show case Black people who can actually SING WITH SOUL doing the honors. Not some watered-down latina shaking her ass.

Me personally, I enjoyed it and I’m a black man!! We know that Jlo is Latina…we know that she isn’t “ the Voice”…however, we also know that she looks amazing and is an amazing performer! Can we just appreciate the artistry and not always make it a race thing! We know what Motown was created for! Music is love, music is life…let’s not make it a monster by always judging WHOS singing WHAT!!! Cause we certainly didn’t have an issue in the 90s and early 2000s when she was singing hip hop & rnb music…dating Diddy…etc etc etc…! I love Jlo and whatever she performs!! Now I’m about to go watch Enough! 🤷🏽♂️

That's you and your choice. You don't speak for everyone. Nor do I. Bottom line:She is NOT a soul singer or a r&b singer for that matter. Never has been and never will be.

I thought Jennifer did fantastic. I mean other than Beyonce there's no one else that could do it. Mariah doesn't dance and no one else has the clout or talent from the younger generation. People should open their minds a lot more.
