Motown was excellence. Jlo as a vocalist, is not excellence. It makes no sense for her to be involved here. This is so aggravating. I love J-Lo, but her being chosen is a reflection of the representation flaws in our music industry today. In order for a woman to succeed in this industry she must be fair-skinned, even if she’s black or Hispanic. She has to have straight hair even if it’s a wig or weave. This industry obviously hates the way most black women look, and it’s annoying.
