Hi Jenny and Zoe, just want to say thank you for all the videos that you and Zoe have put out over the years, you are an inspiration for many people, unfortunately, I've missed a lot of the Monday Club,as I've been working night-shift for about eighteen months now, that, plus moving house twice in the space of a year has severely curtailed my modelling, but I've just started another OO scale layout,it won't be brilliant, it's not going to set the heather alight, but having fun is the name of the game, it's important to find time to relax, your health comes first, take care, all the best from Scotland, Stephen.

Jenny, can well understand your reasons for change. I find your technical programmes extremely useful, i.e. chipping a specfic loco, DCC control of track and signals etc. Loco reviews too, I use yourself as the main leader and several sources before making a decision. Your Monday club I view on a Tuesday, missing the repetitive 'Beano' bits therefore compressing the time. Best wishes to Zoe and Yourself for a quieter future.

Hi Jenny ( and cupboard monkey!) Just watched this video and was shocked that this isn't your full time career!! The time and effort a video takes to produce and yet you're doing it 3 to 4 times a week. Phenomenal back catalogue and it's an amazing resource for us modellers. I'm not surprised you're cutting back a little bit, after all you need a break from the hobby every now and then to recharge and recover your mojo. One thing I've discovered on my own little channel is if you upload too often, it can choke the views and push earlier and maybe more useful content into the ether. The audience is fickle and usually only watch the latest or two videos before moving on to pastures new. Take care Steve

Hi Jenny - sounds like a very wise move. I've only recently subscribed - you have a massive content and great breadth of topics, literally something for everyone. Back in 2017, after I retired, I had ambitions of starting up a channel here in Western Australia. I made two (mediocre) videos and learnt quickly that It's a huge amount of work, and if I was to do it seriously, there was the risk that it would become the hobby, and not modelling railways. So well done on making the hard decision, and explaining it to everyone. Yes, burnout is real. All the best, Angus.

Also a big thankyou for not going down the click bait route and also not making a big deal that you are a female in the hobby - sometimes people are divisive about it. You are simply a railway modeller and not making a fuss about being a female railway modeller. Well done! A good decision, Jenny. I limit my time on social media and found your early videos very useful when I had to produce a micro layout for an exhibition. I have now subscribed to your channel. Very true Jenny, as much as I enjoy making the odd video, there is plenty where I think, I won't film this or that, just because I want to make sure that enjoyment of the hobby doesn't become secondary secondary to making videos, and I find it much easier to make videos if I remain enthusiastic about the subject which in turns means I want to talk about it and share it which helps me enjoy making the videos more.

Totally Understand your reasons for scaling back and it is hard to run a KZbin channel. This one I'm commenting on isn't too bad as it's videos as of when. But my other channel is the one that is my main focus. Back in 2020 I did try and do two videos a week but couldn't handle it as it was difficult to try and get videos out and 90% of the time would had to go out a day later and a apologise. The only advice I can give is that you have to get ahead with the editing to make it two days a week and it's not easy. I've been following since lockdown and the Monday club stream I really do enjoy the streams and still looking forward to future content and livestreams. But do put yourself first Jenny and thanks for the livestreams and videos

Hi Jenny, firstly very many thanks for what you've done over the years in the Model railway Community. Secondly best of British for the future. I have lurked in the background of your channel for quite a while and always enjoy your content and the MNC. Sadly I fear that there will be increasing number of clickbait type "model railway" channels becoming more popular - one that instantly comes to mind also has a female "presenter" who regularly spends more time thanking their Members & Patroens and telling us what is planned for the railway (which seldom happens) than actual modelling content. This is a repeated cycle and has at least 2 iterations every week and a couple of live streams. Seems to be quite popular though, so good luck to them, just sad that it has to appear under the Model Railway blanket. I'll get off my soap-box now, this is the only time I've ever commented on any channel but I felt I had to get it off my chest. All the best, Carl

I will keep following your channel regardless of how many videos you put out. Rest and less stress is definitely a must. In all honesty I now follow a few smaller model railway channels now that don't load loads of videos on their channels, and they tend to be good on content. Those channels that do the two or three a week clickbate videos reviews where it becomes a rant at the manufacturer's small defects and slight running issues, I stopped watching. I am sure that the longer timescale between your videos will be well received still and you will be able to improve on the already great content.

Just do what you enjoy. Thanks for some great content over the years. I think you do the fairest, best balanced reviews of the products. The main reason people do youtube videos is self-actualisation not money. That's why very few can make a living out of it. There are loads of people who would do it for free.

A lot of truth. As a small youtube channel, the algorithm these days is just daft. It used to be such a nice tight knit community, we all knew each other, but then things changed. The platform changed, having to 'play the game' for any type of gain. One video would boom, the next naff all views. Unless ur prepared to surrender all to youtube, its just not worth it

When something stops being fun, it’s time to stop! Genuinely found this quite sad to watch! I have recently had a massive cull of channels I subscribed to on KZbin. A lot have been channels that cover topics of my interest but I culled them because I can’t help but watch and see how the very things you spoke about have taken over there life to the point they no longer have a life, like you say, they have got to the point that they can’t do the most simple of tasks without thinking is this film able and I am picking up on this trend more and more and I will be honest, I find it sad and desperate. They had a hobby which they now sell their soul for and they have partners / families who become second place and that to me, doesn’t sit well with me. I admire everything you and your wife Zoe have done but I admire more you have realised that when it stops being fun, stop! You could have the best hobby in the world but when you spend every single second of you and that hobby thinking how do I film this, how do I capture that, how can I make that watchable, YOU are robbing yourself and I find that sad. I didn’t find you until after the scamdemic content but that won’t stop me respecting you for all you did and helped. Live to work Jen, don’t work to live!
