Use Cricut Infusible Ink to make this vibrant layered T-shirt... and get the free Flip Flops SVG file design (Design #152) at jennifermaker....
Cricut's Infusible Ink transfer sheets are a fun and easy way to make professional-looking T-shirts that won't peel, crack, or flake. You can get really vibrant colors that are permanently infused into the material. AND you can create designs with multiple colors! The personalized T-shirt in this video was made using Cricut Infusible Ink transfer sheets that I combined together for a fun summer look!
MATERIALS LIST (contains my affiliate links):
* Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet (I used red and navy) - see fxo.co/1164423...
* Cricut Infusible Ink-compatible T-shirt - see fxo.co/1164423...
* A EasyPress or Heat Press (I used the original EasyPress) - see amzn.to/2F5QBm4
* StandardGrip (green) mat - see amzn.to/2JhLEc8
* White cardstock
* Butcher paper - inside your package of transfer sheets, or buy at amzn.to/30drHsC
* Scissors and tweezers
* Lint roller
* A way to cut the project (I used the amazing Cricut Explore Air 2 -- see shrsl.com/1dq4w )
* My free Flip Flop SVG cut file (Design #152) (available in my free resource library at jennifermaker.... )
UPDATES/CHANGES: Check for any updates, changes, or additional videos for this project at jennifermaker....
For this project, you'll want a Cricut Explore or Maker (either one works fine) and an EasyPress (either an original EasyPress or an EasyPress 2 -- and it needs to be big enough to cover your design in one pass). You can also use a heat press, but you can't use a household iron -- it won't get consistently hot enough across its surface to properly infuse the ink, and it's not typically big enough for a T-shirt design anyway.
Beyond the machines, you need the Cricut Infusible Ink transfer sheets in the colors or patterns you want to use (I'm using red and blue), a green StandardGrip cutting mat, an EasyPress pressing mat (I'm using the medium and large sizes for this project), a piece of WHITE cardstock, a piece of butcher paper (this will come with your Infusible Ink sheets), some scissors, some tweezers, and a lint roller.
And, you need a DESIGN that works well with Cricut Infusible Ink! I made this flip flip design because I think they are perfect for this two-color T-shirt project. Plus, we can personalize them if we want! In this video, I show you where to get this design free, how to add your own name to the fusible design, and get it cut out and onto your T-shirt!
STEP 1: FIND OR MAKE YOUR T-SHIRT DESIGN
Go to Cricut Design Space, click on New Project, then click on Templates in the upper left corner. Choose “Classic T-Shirt” and pick a style, size and color. The template will help you size your design so it looks good on your T-shirt.
STEP 2: CUT OUT YOUR DESIGN FROM CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK TRANSFER SHEETS
It’s super important you put your Cricut Infusible Ink transfer sheets SHINY SIDE DOWN on your cutting mat.
STEP 3: REVEAL YOUR INFUSIBLE INK DESIGN (REMOVE THE NEGATIVE AREAS)
STEP 4: COMBINE YOUR INFUSIBLE INK COLORS ON YOUR DESIGN
STEP 5: APPLY YOUR INFUSIBLE INK DESIGN TO YOUR T-SHIRT
I appreciate every subscriber. It's free and easy to subscribe -- just click here: bit.ly/sub2jenn...

My wife just told me about Cricut and this ink transfer material. I thought she was talking about graphic heat sealing until I looked it up and found your video. Neverminding the home equity loan you’d have to take out to afford the material necessary to get this done, it looks like a lot of fun and you end up with a creation of your own design. This was a great tutorial, Jennifer! Keep up the great work!

What confuses me is how at 11:36 you had a blue layer and a red layer. How did you set that up? This is a great tutorial, by the way! Just got some infusible ink and your tutorial is very helpful. I am layering something, as well, and I'm not sure how to bring all those elements together to make sure they will all fit on 1 transfer. Thanks!!
@JenniferMaker
@JenniferMaker 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I have the different layers of flip flop because that was the coloring of the image when I first started. If you are wanting your image on one transfer you will need to change your flip flops to the same color and then adjust your pieces in mat preview to see if you can get them on one carrier sheet. Hope this helps.

This was the exact problem I’m having as well and trying to find the answer too! I just watched this video and it was the one question I had and one part that was completely skipped over 😭- I’m not sure if the blue section was reverse weeded f then applied onto the red or if she weeded as normal but then maybe just cut the backing to line up correctly- but the directions for this part are very unclear

Pleeeeeaaaze!... This is a sublimation product and you are being asked to pay through the nose for it. Save your money good people and simply buy a sublimation printer and proper heat press (not that toy from Cricut!). You will save a fortune in the long run and be able to print anything, including solid colours, patterns, smooth gradients and even photos WITHOUT THE NEED OF A CUTTER! A 100% polyester tote in the UK costs me less than $2, not the $10 demanded by Michael's. They print beautifully. An A4 print costs me around 10p (13 cents?) for the paper and ink, then it's straight into the press at 190 deg C for 60 secs. Simple, cheap, and a far better print than doing it the Cricut way, which introduces too many restrictions.

I love your step-by-step videos! I would not have doubled-checked coverage of the easy press by positioning the image on the plate before beginning the transfer process! You always have such helpful tips!

Hey Jennifer, just wanted to let you know that you can select specific pieces of the design in the RIGHT design bar that way you dont accidentally select a different piece of the design by clicking on the actual design. I hope thats helpful. Thanks for this tutorial, I am new to infusible ink and this was very helpful!

Yowsers! That’s a lot of process there. I’m using a dye sublimation printer and it’s literally print and press. Now I’m going to go look for a video by you that shows me how to design in Cricut Canvas and send to my dye sublimation printer. I want to be able to use the same design for dye sublimation, HTV, and card stock so I can have a set of something to use. Thx as always for another great video.
