Thanks for this detailed video Angie. My husband is a realtor and I like to make personalized house warming gifts for his clients after they buy a home. Everything doesn't always have to be about money. Sometimes it's good to invest in something that you can use to bring someone else joy...a little smile, or some comfort. Cricut makes being thoughtful easier. At least for me anyway.

I tried this on 100% Cotton. It did transfer but after I washed most of the ink is gone. I tried it on polyester cotton blend and it was okay and it didn’t wash out as much as the 100% Cotton. My best result came from a no boundaries shirt ( 92% polyester and 8% spandex) it did not wash out. It still looks as good as the Cricut blank shirt.

My question is this- can I layer HTV on top of infusible ink? I want to make / draw an icon onto a canvas tote w the ink and add a name over the icon in HTV. Is that possible? Ty

I have done it. You do run the risk of the Infusible Ink fading once heated a second time. Usually with HTV it does not. Be sure to use protective paper though as you might get ink on your press.

@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
Infusible Ink can be tough. Each color is slightly different in thickness because of the way they apply the ink. This can lead to cuts that don't go all the way through and cuts that cut all the way through the backing. I would recommend doing a test cut.

Cotton tee shirts will not work at all. You can also purchase the heat resistant tape from Amazon at a lower price. The Cricut shirts are very nice, but way too expensive for me. I ordered 11oz sub mugs, how do I change the setting to accommodate the size.? When I go to customize my mug it only shows 12 and 15 oz.

Use a sewing tape measure to measure around your mug and stop 1/2 inch from the handle on both sides. If the 12 oz template in design space is not any bigger than that measurement, you are fine. You can just use the 12 oz template. If it is bigger, I would use a square and the slice tool to remove some of the length. There are not templates for mugs other than the Cricut mugs in Design Space.

can you use iron that I have at home? or does it has to be easy press!!??!?!
@AngieHolden4 жыл бұрын
It has to be able to go to 400 degrees which most household irons cannot do.

Just a note: I have been working in this industry for a pretty long time now (not wanting to show my age). I have come to learn that the manufacturers of clothing design tshirts (specifically) to last for 50 washes. I KNOW I KNOW... I've got tshirts that I have had for decades (oops, age showing). HOWEVER, as with everything there is a "life expectancy" and 50 washes is the magical number. So, the "life" of a tshirt and the ink is probably 50 washes. Who will be here to show us a shirt that makes it to 100 washes??? :D This is an exciting product for the 'at home' market. I have been using large format printers and HTV for a few years and still prefer that method - it is quicker.

Hello Angie, help, l have a problem, I have a cricut explore air 2 and the pen adapter is broken, and the adapter on the cricut website is out of stock, so can I use the sharpie pen adapters. Thank you.

I am totally not sure. I am thinking they will not work with the Infusible ink pens but I have not tried it.

Why did the mat go between the bag but behind the shirt?
@AngieHolden4 жыл бұрын
It should probably have been in between the shirt too.
