Funny enough if he didn’t take the punches without punching back, they both would’ve gotten offsetting penalties. And since he didn’t punch back, only Kassian got called. The Kassian penalty led to the flames scoring the game winning goal. And at the end of the season, the oilers were one win away from being in the top 4 and safe from the playins so technically, Tkachuk making the smart play led to the oilers missing the playoffs 😂😂. Also if Tkachuk was scared he’d try to skate away but he took the weak ass punches like a man, made the smart play, and won the game for us

In Québec, Patrick Roy'son beated Up the other goalie when Patrick was the coach and encouraged him. He traumatised the other goalie. This kid had mental Health issu after and never played again. Patrick's son got charged with assault i think i never played again too. (I think) Seeing the kid getting beaten like thqt with no ones helping was freaking sad and a shame.

I played hockey in my teens and early 20's, just independent leagues. I was a bit smaller than most players, but was a great defender, pretty decent goalie. But as defender, I was the instigator. Being of smaller stature from most everyone else, I was able to get up under the offense players and poke them in the ribs and armpits with the butt of my stick, to provoke a fight, it annoyed the larger offensive players to start a fight with me. I never won a single fight, but my team mates would come to my defense, but 10 out 10 it would result in a penalty on the opposing team.
