As a Red Wings fan, it's moments like that first sequence that have kept my spirits up in these troubled times. There's this old famous clip of Kirk Maltby blocking like 3 or 4 shots from the point without his stick in a similar crazy sequence. Seeing faint glimmers of that grind line grit is enough to make me hopeful for the future.

There was a recent game where Ottawa killed off a 4 on 3 that included an early broken stick and goal line save, to kill it off and have Giroux score on a breakaway against the Sharks.
