Ohh, we were young and we were naive. For me it was the best of times. Every chance I got took me to the Jersey Shore. My Jersey Girl was worth the long drive and the late night or early morning drives back to PA where a High School was waiting to make a man out me. Then one day my world fell apart. For reasons unknown to me, I called off our rendezvous, and I never looked back. Now, in the sunset years of my life, I have second thoughts, and thirds and fourths. But it is to late. I lost the best friend I ever had. Something about that Jersey Girl stuck with me for 58 years. They say Jersey Tomatoes are the best, but I say that Jersey Girls are better than best.

@@maureensimms1979, thank you. You made my day. I'm sorry I made you cry. I know they are only words, but they came from the heart, and still do.
