Jack's verse isn't as lazy as what Snoop gave the vocal line for Bad Decisions (I almost think Snoop thought he was writing a verse for a bunch of 14-year-olds), but there aren't a lot of ARMY who think Jack wrote a masterpiece either. It's meh.

I prefer the alternate version without Jack Harlow, personally, and after another ARMY said RM would have KILLED as the feature, I'll just pretend there exists a version of that in the HYBE offices somewhere. (I would however, LOVE to hear your take on it.) As far as the ABG (Asian Baby Girl/Asian Baby Gangsta) line goes...I don't love it. As someone who grew up around a lot ABGs, it's its own subculture and hearing it on Jack's verses was really quite jarring for me. Not horrible just...you know. Side eye. Not a criminal offensive side eye, but a side eye nonetheless.

For Seven, Latto showed up for a live performance at Global Citizens Festival and did amazing. So maybe she just couldn't make it for his schedule when they shot the performance video. I've seen a lot of different reactions to jh's verse and for me personally, I prefer the alternate version with just jungkook but that's just my opinion. I will still focus on the original bc it's the main promoted one. I always love whatever jk does and he slayed as always. The whole song is about s€x, but I see a difference in the wording when jk sings and when jh raps. For me, there is a certain classiness to the words jk sings and jh's verse is just a bit...idk. Maybe I should say it like this: jk's verses have a lot of indirect implications to the main topic and makes you think a little bit (e.g. drinking potion, champagne confetti, rain rain rain) while jh's verse is just direct and maybe I just prefer lyrics that make you think a bit more and that leaves it up to the listeners' interpretations. Or....maybe it's just me being biased towards jk that's possible too but idk.

I feel like this is a safe space for honest opinions, and with that said… I don’t like it. I know he don’t care and it doesn’t matter, and I didn’t care for Seven either but I could understand why people liked it, it was catchy and fun, but this song creeps into makes me irrationally angry territory (do you know what I mean? You hear songs where you just want to turn it off, like I’d rather sit in silence or listen to a commercial) which is so dumb and I’m upset with myself about it because I don’t understand whyyy? I don’t care that it’s sexual, a lot of people seem upset about that and I’m not one of them. I’ve enjoyed songs about fuckin’ before, but this just sounds genuinely unpleasant to my ear. You aint nippy...while there were a set in the fandom that was infact uncomfortable cause a lot of jack's verse felt like objectification, the rest was fine with it but wasnt particular impressed. At most majority thought his verse was ok. While the whole song being sexually leaning isnt particularly unique im context to the musuc scene as a whole, considering jk has repeatedly been saying im the past many months of wanting to establish himself as a pop icon, a track like this with the nostalgic hints of 2000s just hit. jungkook's lines atleast had a sense of simple (with double meanings ofc) and straightforward approach and thereby was satisfactory but jack's verse now in my opinion felt very teen boy flex like. I was a bit disappointed with Jack Harlow's verse because I checked out some of his other music and it has good, interesting lyrics so I was expecting the same level here. There were so much division in army Twitter and TikTok abt Jack Harlow’s verse for all the wrong reasons. I personally didn’t really like it bc I was expecting more, it did feel kinda lazy. Latto was a much better feature. And you can research ABGs if you want, it did seem like he just knew the term was popular of TikTok and he was collaborating with an Asian artist and so he wanted to fit that in his verse without much thought abt the meaning behind. Idk that’s my take on it. But armys who were upset at the verse bc it was “too sexual” are crazy, jk said way more sexual stuff than jack. And yeah his line abt getting his friends to “come look” is also pretty iffy and has misogynistic attitudes behind that sentiment
