My 11th birthday was during the time the '78 Jeopardy! was in production. As such, when I first saw the Trebek version, I found myself expecting to see the Super Jeopardy! bonus round at the end of the Double Jeopardy! round.

This version of Jeopardy wasn't half bad really, but went up against too much other competition on the other major networks, back when daytime TV had way more game shows and soaps. Those were the days...

It's sad that in the new Jeopardy, when celebrating its Anniversary, they ONLY consider the Trebek era, and don't mention Art Fleming or Don Pardo. They ignore them and these years as if they never happened! I don't get it. 😢 I was watching J! since day one. I was just a 7 yo kid, but already a trivia/Jeopardy nut.

The Time's Up bell was also used on Wheel of Fortune, and for a similar purpose (it rang at the end of the game, denoting time for the final spin).

This was not much like the original Jeopardy, 1964-74. But both used mechanically operated cards, rather than the electronic screen from Trebeck’s years.

FRICKING YEAH! Same for the Pat Sajak and Vanna White version of wheel! This is absolutely and extremely bad! I first saw this from last month, there’s obviously no reason to watch this same for the Pat Sajak and Vanna White version of wheel! I kinda wish no-one posted any of the episodes of the Fleming version, his voice sounds very deep and bad and not clear at all!

@@MorganNyeoh boo, Fleming’s voice is such a stupid reason to not like him. This particular iteration of Jeopardy! may be mediocre at best. But the original Jeopardy! (1964-1975) is excellent, and Art is an excellent host and always will be Jeopardy! Don’t you dare go wishing for Fleming era clips not to exist.
