@@blakechasteen The mill has to make some money, the packaging center has to make some money, the trucker needs to make some money, the trucking company needs to pay for fuel and repairs, the grocery store needs a cut. Drug sales aren’t the only thing everyone gets a piece. Personally I hate grinding, if you want to do it yourself you will need a grinder or a whole ass mill if you have running water. An electric grinder starts at $40, I would suggest getting something in the $300 range if you seriously want to do it long term. An actual water mill will cost you probably 3k + labor but it would require no electricity for your entire life. I wouldn’t suggest it though. An industrial grinder is 30k+.

@@bghoody5665 Yep. Without him and his Top Gear and The Grand Tour money there wouldn't be a farm in the first place. But I do genuinely enjoy Clarkson's Farm, even though it's such a strange concept. You've got an elderly tv presenter that spent the last few decades making a name for himself by driving the world's best, and sometimes worst, cars and saying some things about them, and now suddenly he's a farmer, even though he started out knowing nothing about being a farmer, but he's still doing it because he can. And I love it. It's actually fun sitting there and watching him learn how to be a farmer, and it actually seems to make the old timer happy. Though I would like to see a once off cameo from James and Richard giving him shit because he doesn't know what he's doing.

I'm not so sure on that. The man also has had an enormous effect on the auto industry. A lot of car journalism (especially on TV) before Jeremy was quite subservient to manufacturers, acting more as captive advertisement. It was also extraordinarily dry and boring. Clarkson absolutely seal-clubbed that status quo. I can honestly say my life would probably look extremely different, were it not for Clarkson and Top Gear. While he has certainly touched the lives of thousands of farmers, he's also touched the lives of tens of millions of car enthusiasts and the car buying public at large.

you realize the farm show was quite literally an entire agricultural year condensed into 1 season? So by now, they have only *JUST* harvested the '2nd seasons' crops if they arent still finishing up harvest now. I imagine they got started on the early editing as far back as January, but only now do they probably have all the video which is getting properly edited into episodes, narration getting voiced, reshoots and the whole lot. So like the other dude said, 1st quarter 2023 is when season 2 will be ready. Not sure where you imagined a whole extra year from, but fuck me if my man clarksons getting 2 years worth of harvests done in 1 then he is the best farmer known to man!

Fair play to Clarkson. All 3 of the GT hosts have really taken to their second careers. Its obvious they all work their socks off, despite appearing a little catastrophic at times

The best part is how the buyer announces the protein just like Jeremy would for the stars in a reasonably priced car. I’m sure I’m not the only one who noticed when it came out

Its awesome watching clarkson learn humility and respect whilst operating this farm. He’s even fully convinced of the threat of climate change now.

Bruh I'll buy a massive pallet of wheat for 180 bucks right now! That is so much food if you know what you're doing, that could literally last a whole family around a year lol

That Paul was a personality made for tv. They should make a show about him haggling over wheat prices.
