@@JackTheAverage utopianist? So the right-wing warmongers got to you and now you'll trade socialism in for whatever demands for escalation and war that Washington makes of us. Its amazing how some people will admit and understand that there are socio-economic elites who aren't here to be nice to us but then turn right around and believe that the elites in the Pentagon, in Washington etc prolly just want democracy and world peace ... What a beautiful fairy tale that is.

Labour have already failed, they purged the real Labour Party to chase the votes of people who were merely protesting. If they fail to follow the Right's diktat to the letter now they're a one term Party. Some might say that was the whole purpose of The Starmer Project given his despicable treatment of the Left.

Used to love him, but I'm Polish and he believes my and other countries should just give ourselves to Russia if they ask for us. If we resist and seek protection it's our fault for causing a war. I'd vote Green happily, but never for Corbyn's Labour.
@marykilbane7738
@marykilbane7738 18 күн бұрын
@@Harsh-mg2emI get why you think that, but you’re confusing the Soviet Union with Russia. Putin hasn’t indicated wanting to re-establish the Soviet Union. The people in East Ukraine are ethnically Russian and asked Russia for help after getting battered by the Western Ukrainians since 2014.
@Harsh-mg2em

@@marykilbane7738 Can I ask where you get this information from? I hope you are a sincere person, but this is word for word what Putin said. I'm holding back my judgmenent though. Also, Soviet Union and Russia are the same thing, that's why countries occupied under Soviet Union went through Russification efforts.
@basedmongoloid2278
@basedmongoloid2278 17 күн бұрын
@@Harsh-mg2em Respectfully, it doesn't matter what Putin said or whether what someone else said is in agreement with what he said. There is truth, and there is what isn't truth. What's true, and agreed upon by even mainstream media, is that there are ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine, and the conflict started in 2014 over their being upset over attempts to pass language laws mandating Ukrainian be taught in schools. There were also other issues leading up to that dealing with the allocation of funds and resources to different parts of the country, but that was the tipping point. Every excuse Putin makes about why a war is now going on there now is immaterial to this reality, and frankly I think his explanations of "de-nazification" are really just meant to appeal to conservative boomers in Western countries who would not be sympathetic to an explanation based in nationalism. To be fair to you and your country, Poland reserves the right to defend itself if they're actually attacked by Russia, andy Corbyn's opinion shouldn't mean anything considering he's not Polish. That being said, I think the idea that Poland will be attacked by Russia even if they did take over the whole of Ukraine is kind of ridiculous though. There are very rarely wars that are not started over deliberate reasons, and neither Putin or the Russian government has as much of a justification to invade Poland or any other country aside from Ukraine. Kazahkstan and Estonia, as examples, have regions which are predominately Russian, but they have a much more peaceful co-existence with the governments they live under. Ukraine is a target they can more easily justify since the tensions between Russians in the East with the ethnically Ukrainian-led government of Ukraine has been seen as a level of persecution against Russian identity within the country.
@sueyourself5413

The Greens have done this before in past-elections but without other parties reciprocating. Well before Jeremy Corbyn got booted out of the lost labor party and switched to Indy there was a decision to run in every electorate again. Otherwise they might as well accept irreleveance. Surely this must have been one of the tough electorates to keep that promise. But if they reneged on running in every seat it would have opened up a ton of bureaucracy about which others to drop out from too. And actually campaigning with the voters is surely the priority. Despite the known pitfalls of FPTP voting Greens multipled their electorates gained and had massive swings in others to become legitimate contenders in the next elections to come.

One of the most significant results of the general election was former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s victory as an independent candidate. After the effort Starmer went to to rid Labour of the ‘left’ in Labour to supposedly clean up and change the Labour Party, Corbyn’s victory defines everything that’s wrong about ‘changed’ Labour’s new government even on its outset. I sincerely hope Corbyn’s continued presence on the opposition benches, albeit as an ‘independent’ MP will cause as much havoc as possible for Starmer’s right wing Labour agenda for growth which will never work anyway.

I am delighted that such a splendid candidate, slandered by Starmer’s Labour Party, won this seat. He has always been a person of integrity not like those who falsely accused him of anti semitism.
