The UK's Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn was a 200/1 outsider in the Labour leadership contest two years ago. He defied those odds to win and now he is in the race to be next Prime Minister in the UK's general election. And many say the odds are stacked against him again.
According to his devoted supporters, his idealism is exactly what the country needs. But to his detractors, he’s made Labour simply unelectable. So who is he, what motivates him and what’s the future of the Corbyn project?
And we also spoke to him about his foreign policy - asking him: When in the last half century has British-backed military action been necessary?

Let me make this real simple for the people of the UK... You have a real choice here... One that most of us never get in politics, you have a choice to vote against neo liberalism, against endless war against global finance gutting the country with toxic trade deals after brexit. If you don't vote for corbyn like him or not you have no one to blame about the downfall of the UK but yourself.

nice meme man. If you're referring to the fact that his wages are paid by tax payers, do you dislike policemen for the same reason? We choose to pay them because they have to work full-time to do the job properly. If we didn't, how would anyone but the richest people be MPs anyway? Or would you rather be represented by a guy who juggles the running of the country with working full time down some office somewhere so he can support his family? He doesn't take money from the poor we happily give it to him because he's a representative of the people in parliament.

Sadly Sam, most of those "lies" are actually the truth. It's just that his supporters choose to ignore his rather tainted past. Supporting Hezbulah, The IRA and other terror organisations is not something to brush under the carpet. And now that he wants to be friends with NATO beggars belief! Only six years ago he accused it of being the single most dangerous organisation on the planet. But, like most newer Labour supporters, you pretend he's nice, fluffy and sincere. If it makes you feel warm inside then I'm pleased for you.

If Tony Blair's speechwriter was correct, he would use some examples of actual policies that were 'unrealistic'. These things are said over and over again and people parrot these unsubstantiated views. But any serious consideration of Jeremy Corbyn as leader would recognise that Labour's most important policies are fundamentally different to the Tories' most important policies. Environmentalism / investing in new forms of energy and the 'debate' over pointless austerity are two of the most important issues.

Principled and honest lolol everyone who knows him will tell he is hugely anti EU but at the slightest sniff of power he's ditched any morals he ever had he's a terrorist sympathiser and his now racist party has been taken over by the extreme left a vote for Jeremy corbyn is a very very dangerous thing to do please take some time and do some research. Also remember Labour are the only party to be investigated for racism y the police

It is blatantly obvious that he says what believes in and he believes in justice without prejedice so of those having prejedice would never like him and so do we who shares the same as view as him. Showing contempt for those less fortunate is mental sickness and worse is when contempt is described as a logical thinking by those few who are infected with this desease. Voting for JC is the only way forward today for a progressive soceity as a whole, period.

He needs to learn from Sanders. Have talking points, slogans even, and bring it back to them repeatedly - don't go down rabbit holes answering their weird questions about nuclear first strikes. Bring it back repeatedly to housing, education, NHS, re-nationalisation of certain industries - all the policies that are popular with the public.

@EyeSpyIrishGuyXD
@EyeSpyIrishGuyXD 7 жыл бұрын
Equality of opportunity means put simply you have the same chance of lets say getting a job as the next person. Equality of outcome is for example if you get the same level of education as someone else you'll get the same grade or if you get the same grade you'll get jobs with the same amount of pay. Something along those lines if I remember correctly thought I could be wrong.
