I have little aesthetically in common with these selectors but I absolutely adore watching talented people gush about art they love

@@cpi23 ha! Were you also evicted from a house for throwing a Schoenberg party?

@@nonesuchrecords David Tudor, and managed to keep the apartment in the end. Probably different costumes, probably different drugs.

I saw Jan DeGaetani perform Pierrot with Arthur Weisberg's ensemble in the mid-70s. Her acting/singing was enhanced by her electric blue sequined gown and her white hair. Unforgettable even 45 years later. Nonesuch was our bread and butter as young music students in the 70s. Great repertory you couldn't find elsewhere and $2 or $3 per record.

I love these segments. The opportunity to explore new albums, to me, is wonderful.

We're cut from the same cloth - the Ives - the Pierrot recordings! Harmonielehre! But to be EVICTED over Schoenberg - that is EPIC!!!

The greatest LP Nonesuch ever released was its recording of the Brandburg Concerti performed by the Saar Chamber Orchestra conducted by Karl Ristenpart. It is absolutely impossible to find it on CD. Jeremy, can you use your influence at Nonesuch to get these fabulous recordings released?
