There will be work, much needed work. For example, child and senior care. Work in the live arts. Infrastructure work building new housing and fixing roads.

In terms of years, how long could it take for AI to replace a software engineer? Are we talking about as low as 2 to 3 years?

No one knows. My guess is more like 10 years, but software engineers have begun integrating AI into their workflows already, and that will an impact - i.e. 1 software engineer with AI tools may be able to do the work of 2-3 engineers without AI tools.

my guess is 2 years, the fast development of AI with this kind of rythm is about 2 years so probably around 2025
