Hello Manisha, I am so glad that my youtube feed presented me to your interview of Jeremy. A lot (!) of what you two talked about, I have experienced as an adult: I am very engaged in learning new tech 'stuff' independently (I followed some of the online Data Science & AI classes of Jerermy a few years ago and that helped me a lot for understanding concepts, etc). It seems that modular learning is something I practice as a learning adult. There are many parallels with your views about home schooling children. I think that there are a lot of adult people who have gotten degrees etc, many years ago (like me), and we are still hungry for learning new stuff. So a lot of the modular learning would be 100% compatible for us as well. I find this extremely interesting. Also I am not a teacher, I am a Geologist, and I am not a parent, but still your dialog with Jeremy resonated fully with my thoughts about learning. Brilliant, thank you! 😀👍

Ann, I'm so happy to hear that the episode resonated, and apologies that I'm not seeing your comment until now. By the way, I love geology! I think your insights are really fantastic. As adults, we learn much more organically, and this takes the form of a modular approach. Children can learn really well in this approach too! When we think about how to optimize children's learning, it's so useful to think about how we optimize our own education. The same techniques do work! I look forward to continuing this conversation with you. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I believe learning, thankfully, is a lifelong journey and needs not be confined to set periods of time.
