Sir, You get nothing but props from me. In August of last year 7 of us stayed at Molas Lake (Silverton) and rode that area. We had two 250’s, two triumph 800’s, Africa Twin, my 650 Vstrom and another triumph big bike. Most of us had very little off rode experience. I made it through the alpine loop and a couple of the passes, but it was tough. And of all the riders we saw only 3 were on adventure bikes. That gave us an idea of how difficult these routes were on bikes like this. And you guys did it on big bikes with your panniers on! Much respect to you and your buddies. Good job! That is a beautiful area to ride. Clint

I’m sure I will one day. But I wouldn’t plan to ride any such thing from where I am to where my ADV Moto takes me. And not until I get a RMK Mountain Sled! But thanks, super valuable post.

Yea, buy a dirtbike so you can trailer it across the states instead of riding the GSA everywhere! pfffttt
