When my wife was in a coma in the hospital. This song had just come out. I would go out to my car in the parking lot and turn on the radio. This song helped me to have faith. When I found out she died not because she had cancer, but because the doctors gave her the wrong medicine. It helped me to forgive them. I will see her again. Our love is eternal.

My absolute favorite Jeremy Camp song. Breaks my heart every time I hear it though, because he wrote this song right after his first wife's death from ovarian cancer. They were only married for 4 months. After all that, he came to God and poured out his heart, and didn't turn his back on his faith, despite everything. I have another friend who lost her husband 2yrs into their marriage, and she recently found love again and remarried. Both she and the husband she lost, never lost their faith in God either, even when cancer came and took him at such a young age. My own daughter also has cancer..so this song, for me, has become quite personal.

This is in contrast to heavy metal music. Imagine what must be going on on the inside of the artist when what comes out on the outside demonstrate itself as destruction, death, depression, anxiety, unforgiveness, bitterness, hate and confusion.

I am here after watching the movie. I wept so much as it resonated so deep with me. God chose to take our precious, loving and much loved son David (aged 25) from us almost 14 years ago. Although the raw pain eases, the tears still flow and the grief will always be there and the separation is hard. BUT GOD..... those 2 little words change everything and I STILL BELIEVE in God’s Word and in His constant faithfulness. David was a great musician, wrote some profound lyrics and many things which were said by Jeremy, as a musician, touched my broken heart as they brought back so many memories. I know it is true, as ‘Melissa’ said: The stars which shine the brightest are those who have the shortest life’. God’s ways are not ours, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. It is hard to understand but He only asks us to trust Him. When we don’t understand, we stand under His promises - until the great day when the separation will be over. We will see Jesus and spend eternity with Him and our loved ones who have gone on before us.

This story brought back so many memories of sadness, faith and hope into my life, but must of all it remind me of the greatness of God. We all go through trials of pain and despair in our lives but not all of us understand the beauty that stands behind it. I was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 9. I went through an unimaginable amount of pain, and I saw a lot of kids my age died from the same disease, including some of my friends. Every day was a struggle for me. But, I never lost my faith because I knew about the great power of God from an early age. Anyways, today I'm 52 years old. You do the math.

I recently came out from a mastectomy due to breast cancer. Last night, I watched the movie, "I Still Believe". I knew this song a way before the movie came out but after watching a movie and realize how this song was able to be created, it has blessed me so much. Again after that God once miraculously healed from benign mix tumor on my left face. But, now I have multiple chronic and acute sicknesses and diseases for about 38 yrs. I'am 68 y/o now! Jesus enabled Jeremy Camp to love his wife the way he did because Jesus IS true love (Jesus died for us while we were still sinners AND Rose again to defeat Satan and death giving us hope, if we will repent of our sin and trust Jesus with our life Jesus is faithful to forgive us our sins a create in us a new life)! I'm listening to his audio book, "I Still Believe." It's wonderful and comforts me during this awful time. 7 months ago my husband entered the hospital -- I thought for just a few days and he'd be sent home just fine except for his ongoing back problems we were going to see about with a neurosurgeon which appointment was scheduled. But he never came home. He was transferred to a rehab facility. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. After 2 or 2 1/2 months, they finally sent him home saying he had plateaued and with some home health assistance, he should do fine. On the 3rd day he was home, he suffered a heart attack. The ER doctor was absolutely overjoyed that he had survived, and ASAP was transferred to a larger neighbouring city hospital. There he lost the ability to swallow, and the doctor inserted a feeding tube into his stomach & a catheter because he had now lost the ability to walk. From there, he was transferred to a different health & rehab facility in our home town (because I was furious with the first one.) He has been there ever since, but in January, his doctor and I agreed it was time to give into my husband's pleas to give him Hospice care to better manage his awful pain. By then, the doctors had exhausted every known treatment that might bring him improvement. Nothing worked. I began beseeching Jesus for a miracle of restoration to his body and mind. (He began having hallucinations and delusions some time ago.) He's still alive and the last 2 days in a row he's talked to me, and it made sense. I'm fasting now, and still praying for a miracle. But I've told God many times that even though I long for the miracle healing with ALL my heart, most of all, I want Him to carry out His best plan -- His will -- over mine. I still hope. And I still believe. And although my heart is breaking over & over, I trust my Lord.
