Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have one of the hardest seasons of your life turned into a movie? Jeremy Camp did exactly that!
“I Still Believe,” which comes out in March of 2020, tells the story of Jeremy’s first wife’s battle with cancer, her eventual death and how Jeremy walked through a challenging journey with God during that season.

Jeremy Camp lost his wife. Steven Curtis Chapman lost his daughter. TobyMac lost his son. Bart Millard of MercyMe was physically abused. Michael W Smith struggled with drugs. Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline lost his voice, his band, and his marriage. So many Christian artists have been through so much.

When we serve God, we wear a target on our backs. Satan is always throwing daggers at that target to get us to curse God. That is what makes all their stories so awesome. The bad things happened in their lives, but they chose to "Believe" our faithful Father to walk with them through their trials. He does.

Chris Greenwood AKA Manafest lost his father to suicide when he was 5 Britt Nicole’s parents divorced when she was 7 Mark Hall, the lead singer for Casting Crowns was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had to have his kidney removed, Mike Donehey, the lead singer for Tenth Avenue North almost died in car accident when he was in high school Christian rapper NF was physically abused Lecrae was a gang member, a drug addict and was arrested on multiple drug charges and theft before he got saved Its amazing how all these christian artists have stayed faithful through everything and made the difference they have made.

I’m so grateful that he has such a supportive wife. Being the “second” wife and supporting him about a movie about his first wife just shows how much faith and belief she has in Jeremys story of loss and hope. I’m so excited about this movie because I grew up seeing Jeremy in concert talking about his first wife. It’s so fitting in my life because now that I’m older I have gained more understanding about faith and loss and hope so this movie really is hitting home for me. I think it does for a lot of his fans who grew up listening to him in high school. There’s this community of people who grew up with Jeremy and his journey and I’m glad to be part of it.

fress_kaa the movie is really good my church got permission to watch the full movie yesterday and the producer was there. It’s really sad but it’s really good they are still tweaking up things the movie is hard like he said the hospital scenes are very hard because she wakes up and says “it’s gone Jeremy believe me there is no pain anymore” and he runs out asking for doctors and that when he flatlines I didn’t cry until the flatline part bc he wasn’t in there and when he runs back in he says “I never got to say goodbye” and that made me cry

I lost a husband after 7 months of marriage. I was and is a single mother for all my life until I met Jeremy. He was my first husband and I lost him, I thought that God just gave me a taste of what it was to be a wife for only 7 months. I was devastated but never lost my faith in God. I was angry but still had and continue to have faith in God's love and grace. Thank you for sharing

Adie Camp must be wise enough to know that, because he did love Melissa so much, this was very painful to go thru. Telling the story is a way of healing. It's therapy for him. He needed to do this. He was there for Melissa, and walked her thru deaths door, then Adie came into his life and helped him heal. Yah always knows who to bring into your life at the right time. He always has a plan, even if we don't understand it at the time!

God bless you Jeremy Camp! To those reading, I am a "second wife", and my marriage has and is still going through many struggles. Need many prayers, especially, for God to be the center of our marriage. I must say, though, there is something a "second wife" experiences that is unique. There are many times I have witnessed the amazing healings powers of our Lord not only physically, but also spiritually, with an abundance of grace and forgiveness.

Jeremy, I love you. I fell in love with your story, your music and you when I was about 12. Back then I didn't even know how your pain would help me heal mine. When I was 16 I went through a really hard grieving process, that just like you, involved not only death, but also loss of love. I thought he was the love of my life. I was so angry at God, and so hurt, and then I remembered you lost your wife Melissa. And your story helped me through the pain. You and your wife Adrienne are true heroes for me. I love you and I hope this movie is a total success!

I think it shows we all have gone through a tough time. For 10 years after the death of our first daughter. I did go through a lot of anger. There are so many that have gone through what we went through. We each deal with out feeling different. Like David said. I can not bring her back but someday I’ll see her again. And my hope is to have all in my family know that we can see her again and my younger ones that never knew her will see her.

Never understood people’s expectation that they won’t experience the same pain, struggle and disappointment that non-believers experience, especially in light of John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. I appreciate you sharing this, and to both of you for sharing your heart and story. I lost my dad to cancer, then suicide, and yes, people have said to me many times, to get over it and to move on. Although you can push, and try to move on, the scar is still there. I liked what you said, "the new normal." I struggle a lot when watching movies, as these "triggers", these moments and memories pop up. It is a good reminder that it is okay to feel that way, as you heal through your scars and experiences. Jeremy Camp's story is powerful, and my heart truly goes out to him and Addie. The Lord definitely used your life through your music, to help bring healing to others like me.

Saying “I’m so sorry” is perfectly fine. Also giving a hug or holding a hand makes a person not feel so alone. Thank you, Jeremy, for sharing your journey. God brought Melissa into your life because she needed you and you needed her, to bring you where you are today. 👆🙏❤️

He is so right. I wish more people would have just keep quiet when we lot our daughter. The hug or just having someone just sitting or standing there would have been enough. Job who had his friends just sit with him a week. Without saying anything? Then came the words?

J F The pain of losing your child is unimaginable. Only others who have lost a child would be able to understand what hell that is. I’m sorry you lost your daughter. I have a friend who lost 2 sons (at separate times). We were all like family (I was a homeless 15 year old when we met and I ended up living with them until I was 18). My son has a friend who lost their child and he was afraid to say anything because he didn’t know WHAT to say, or if it it would make her think of him and make her sad. I told him, “Honey, there isn’t a moment she’s not thinking about him.” Asked him what he felt about her losing her child, and he said he was really sorry about it and wished there was something he could do. I told him to tell her what he told me. And to give her a hug (he’s a hugger anyways). There is no time limit on the grief from losing a child (or any one who is loved deeply). I do hope that you are taking care of yourself, and have the support you (and others grieving with you) need. ❤️🙏👆

Don’t get me wrong. It’s been 26 year. I could go throw each step from that day. Just like it was yesterday. I just wanted to say that it doesn’t help. At that time. When people would say something and it didn’t help at all. The best thing is to just be there. Wait until they are ready. My wife and I went through a rough patch. But when our 2nd daughter was born. We were both scared even more. Doing a lot better now. 🙏

My friend's and family have always looked to me for spiritual encouragement and guidance. But I feel like I don't have faith any more. Mind you I'm not perfect? But I've always trusted the lord and encouraged people in him.but I feel like everyone else prospers and here I'm ending up getting thr short end of the stick if even that? Please dont look at me as evil.ive just fallen so far away from god and I really need godly wisdom and encouragement. Thank you

I love the explanation of what pain is like. If the pain ends and healing the wound. It reminded me that it is okay to remember painful memories, remember the pain, then look at it, say, "That hurts." and move on.

Yes! I agree 💯 with you. It is okay to remember the hurt but also recognize that from those wounds, you'll heal and be in a place you never thought you could or over come. I went through a divorce at a very young age (23) and believe me it was death, it felt like I was dying alive. Fast forward 7 years, I am almost transferring out to my University and I met someone who is amazing and loves the Lord as much as I do! The Lord is with us in every trial.

Só much recognition! My husband died 7,5 months ago and I am getting used to 'the new normal'. Those are exactly the same words I use. My reaction on the loss and the grief was: I still believe! The gratefulness for Gods grace and faithfulness kept and keeps me going, knowing that my husband of 42 years is in a far better place right now and God is guiding me, holding me, comforting me. Can't wait to see the movie!

Eky Dongelmans, 🙏🏼🙏🏼 , I lost my husband of 42 years , 8.5 months ago very unexpectedly, and I also still believe! I haven’t reached “ the new normal” yet. Getting closer . . God took me to a new level of belief with my loss, he was there walking with me every step of the way, like he was preparing me for what was about to happen , but with not knowing anything was a out to happen , I just kept shaking my head and thinking what are these thoughts and feelings about? What’s going on? He was preparing me! So for the 7 days I questioned it, it all came to light as my husband went home to be with the Lord when I woke up in the middle of the night and he was gone. There was a calm, a reassurance, that God had walked with me and I was at peace just knowing I had been in his presence for that week, but more importantly he was with my husband! Of course many people ( just mere acquaintances ) thought I was a cold heartless wife because I had that calm, but you know what, that’s ok, because I knew that God knew my heart!

@@lorahyatt5429 God prepared me for this in the 10 years before. My husband went through a deep crisis of faith, was very angry with God and with all who believed, including me. All I could do is pray for him and turn to God for strength and wisdom. He heard my prayer, proved Himself almighty, trustworthy and caring by making me able to keep my faith (I still believe 😉) and leading my husband back to Him through C.S.Lewis. During that period I learned to believe on my own, experienced God's presence in the hardest hours. Now I can rely on that. My husband was sick for 10 weeks before he passed away. That was such a precious time together with our children. He was a firm witness of his belief in where he was going, he was grateful for all the blessings he had received (and his life hadn't been easy). "God is só great" he often said and that was such a miracle hearing that from him! My gratefulness is unmeasurable, gives me peace and rest and sometimes even great joy in this 'new normal'. I'm happy that the people in my church understand that and that the neighbors are astonished of my strength. It gives me an opportunity to tell where my strength comes from.

I really need to see this movie. In June 2017, I lost my 24-yr-old son after a year-long battle with cancer. Just 3 weeks earlier, my then husband (not his father) told me he wanted out, saying he didn't feel appreciated enough and would file for divorce if I didn't promise to change. Needless to say, I let him file. Then a few months ago, I lost my job. I am SO grateful that I have my Faith to cling to but I still feel so much pain, I don't know how it's going to get better. Maybe it's too soon for me to expect the progress I see in the lives of others who have walked in my shoes. And maybe the fact that it's my child who died, not having the chance to become a father or even a husband. He became a Christian just a couple days before finding out he had cancer, so I thought God would use his story and heal him, but He didn't. Losing a child just seems to add another sharp edge to an already painful and tragic experience. I hope restoration starts soon for me. 💔😇

Iam not Christian, but I was drawn to this movie when my partner was sick. He has a heart condition and had been in hospital for a while. I thought I might loose him. I first heard the song I still believe and was so overwhelmed by it, was like the song was written for me cos the words were exactly how I was feeling. Eventually I watched the movie and it hit home big time. I knew right there that what was happening had nothing to do with me and i needed to be faithful to God and trust in him and pray for my partner to be healed. The emotions I felt after watching the movie and listening to all Jeremy Camps songs are something I cannot describe, it's beautiful and speaks to my soul.My partner now is recovering and ok and I thank God everyday for protecting him and keeping our love protected. It's a beautiful movie, and its true , it touched my heart and life amazingly so. Melissa's dream became a reality. If her story could touch just one life it would be all worthwhile and it touched mine big time it gave me the courage to not give up and never stop believing in God. I had nothing to give my partner except all my prayers and love which helped him. Thank you Lord.

This was a beautiful movie in every aspect! I have watched it three times and each time I got something different from it! Almost like something that I needed spiritually and each viewing made me realize what these things were. Got chills at 16:37 when he said, "New Normal". With everything the world is going through right now it is so reflective of just how true Jeremy's faith is. 7 months after this interview the entire world is now learning to live a "New Normal". Proves that pain is universal. However, with faith we find that it is somehow necessary. God Bless🙏💖
