Many thanks for another year of LEGO Advent calendar fun. Definitely the best thing about December in our household is your opening of each door of every LEGO advent calendar and your awful dad jokes 😂. We were happy with the final placings even though we did occasionally shout, Nooooooooo! Last year our favourite was Diabeto and we were thrilled to see him back briefly. 🎉Hope you have the time and energy to do it all again in 2025.

I get what LEGO was trying to do with each build representing a year of Star Wars, but getting a ship on day 24 is just unfortunate for anyone on Christmas Eve. If they had a set amount of minifigures, it would have been nice to get Luke on Christmas Eve instead. Either way, it’s been another good run Jeremy! Thanks again for continuing the yearly tradition, and congrats to the well deserved winner this year, Harry Potter!

So here it is, Merry Christmas! These last 24 days have absolutely flown by! 6 points - Harry Potter. Superb minifigure, an exclusive minifigure on Christmas Eve is a great way to round off the calendar. 5 points - City. Maybe too predictable by now, but it's a classic that you simply can't go wrong with. 4 points - Marvel. Probably the best Christmas Tree we've had in years from an advent calendar, superb creativity, and a nice farewell to the Marvel calendars. 3 points - Friends. Lovely festive touch for the final day, just a shame it came up against such stiff competition today. 2 points - Disney. Without a doubt the best bit of the castle, but even on a normal day this would have struggled to come much higher. 1 point - Star Wars. Generic ship. Such an anti-climax! Festive Bonus Point - City. I mean, I would like some gifts under the tree, pretty please!! Scores - City 109, Harry Potter 90, Star Wars 90, Disney 82, Marvel 80, Friends 79. But that is not all! Oh, no! That is not all! Minifigure of the year - Star Wars 6, Harry Potter 5, Friends 4, City 3, Disney 2, Marvel 1. Tree of the year - Marvel 6, Harry Potter 5, City 4, Disney 3, Friends 2, Star Wars 1. Multi-day gift of the year - Marvel 6, Harry Potter 5, Disney 4, City 3, Friends 2, Star Wars 1. Completed calendar of the year - Harry Potter 6*, Friends 5, Disney 4, City 3, Marvel 2, Star Wars 1. *I just wanted to shout out the fact that the finished Harry Potter calendar is compatible with 76435 The Great Hall, which I think is a superb way of giving these gifts a use after Christmas is all over and done with. FINAL SCORES - City 129, Harry Potter 114, Marvel 107, Friends, Star Wars and Disney ALL have 102! Did not see Marvel getting in the podium places at all! Harry Potter gave City a run for its money, but City held on to take the win for me! As for the rest, kind of fitting that they've all tied for the doom and gloom of last place! I watched your 2019calendar opening yesterday and will watch year 2020 today. This has been entertaining and enjoyable. Shows you can't assume a certain theme will be good from year to year. I would have thought every calendars day 24 would have a more traditional in your face Christmas item to end it all, but you showed that isn't the case. Harry Potter really deserved to win Advent Calendar of the year, and earned it! While some of the builds are predictable, the overall Advent Calendar is the best one in terms of exclusive minifigures, with each one of them being unique with at least one exclusive print.

I'm with the judging of the trees!🌲🎄Uh Star Wars hello?🎋The Snowman um creature of the year had to go to Snow Piggy! Revisiting the crappie candy cane is giving me a good 😂 🤣. I love the garland with the fireplace from Potter and yes Spidey deserved the multi-day reward. Agreed on the overall sets judging too! We won! Potter finally does not end up being flushed down the tubes of the prefects' loo! Amazing! Jeremy we would all lose it if you ever stop doing this I'm just warning you! The Star Wars calendar suffered from the same problem that their sets have of not have enough mini figures (and not having a entire for most of the bonus points) also Disney got robbed for best multiply day gift.
