They make you destroy it and then you have to wait a year to get the replacement. But you can order the same exact one outside of the recall and it will come in 2 days.

The lack of information on their website concerning the recall is shocking. I have been waiting for over 6 months for my replacement with no update from Blendjet whatsoever except to say that they were to start shipping replacements in March (as I recall). Has anyone out there actually received their replacement unit? I live in the UK so no doubt will be at the bottom of the pile for issue of the replacement (if it ever happens) as clearly there will be additional costs involved. I am also amazed by the lack of people on forums or making posts complaining about the ongoing delays. If no further information received from Blendjet by the end of this month (June), I intend to start making as much noise as possible to get people avoid this product. Blendjet is being totally unreasonable in asking their customers wait so long for a replacement unit.

​@suthie1953 Any update on your blendjet? I've been waiting since March. I'm contemplating on buying another jet but I don't want to end up with two. That and mine was a Christmas gift from my mom. Is the company just stealing our money at this point? Why the hell is it taking THIS long to get any feedback? Summer is the time I'd use my blendjet the most due to the hot weather and easy smoothie meals. Like wtf ya know?

It’s interesting because for those who can’t wait 6 weeks will buy one that will arrive in 2 days. Plus you order accessories for the new base So that’s a potential additional 4.6 million in sales They say throw away the old base to proper battery recycling but what do you do about the blades?

@JeremyHill I found your video searching for solutions to my Blendjet simply not working correctly anymore and flashing red/purple but not charging at all when plugged in. This happened suddenly! Now I know about the recall which may also explain why my blender stopped working. My replacement has been ordered thanks to you!! Did you get a replacement yet? It's been over a year and all I get is excuses . I think it's time for them to give me a refund. I did all they wanted with cutting the seal and took a photo and sent it to them. They said each I contacted them, it is coming.

It may have gone into "lock" mode. To unlock - press and hold the power button for three seconds until the ring light flashes blue three times

I am trying to submit my info for the recall but it won't accept and keeps saying "please wait", "this is taking a little longer", "thanks for waiting" and "hang in there" then it stops spinning and requires me to press submit again. Anyone else having issues?

I got tired of waiting (9+ months) for my recall replacement and their excuses were ridiculous when I finally asked them to just send me a brand new one as a replacement. As I had to destroy the base gasket in order to qualify for the recall replacement, I finally just went to their website and bought a replacement base gasket from their website for $2.95 + tax (the free shipping took a few days to receive) and I'm good to go, again. I did have an issue with the unit going into "lock" mode (maybe because it hadn't been used for such a long time) which was easily rectified as follows: To unlock: Press and hold the power button for three seconds until the ring light flashes blue three times.

I had to send several e-mails complaining about the fact that I have been waiting since January and they continue to sell these items. Explained that this is such poor customer service that I am being bombarded with e-mails to purchase a new one, but can't accommodate existing customers. Received the same response that they were being shipped out in March, first come first serve. Another e-mail and FINALLY they shipped one to me. Took a week to get to me. My sister actually called them directly and they told her June would be the soonest she would receive her replacement. Argued a little more with them and they sent her a new unit. She received it within two days. This company has the absolute worst customer service!

One year and still waiting. I did all that they wanted by cutting the rubber gasket and sending them a photo. Blendjet is a dangerous company committing a dangerous scam. The company sends out knowingly faulty products & then to prevent a law suits, it creates a fake recall promising to replace the faulty product after telling the unsuspecting customers to destroy their initial product and to show proof of doing so. The promised replacement products are never sent & when questioned Blendjet just says they are low on stock & to just wait. This has been going on for over 15 months for me but it's also occurring globally. Also Blendjet has a very real chance of micro plastics contamination into the blended liquids. Buyer beware!

The product costs too much to have these cheesy problems. That is what is really infuriating.
