You have to have the lid on it will not work without the lid on it. There's a magnet in the jar. Mine goes from purple to blue

my experience was exactly the same as in the video after about three to four months of use. In fact I even got a new charging cable and tried to no avail.

What a shame. I had the same experience with two Blendjets we were goven as Christmas gofts. I suspect that the issue stems from washing the base, allowing water into the charge port.

Just bought one and used it twice…just love it, so convenient. Just hope I won’t get problems with it. Is anything similar than Blendjet for smoothies?

For the price, this product should work every time, but it doesn't, which causes the most irritation.

Have you tried using a different charging cable and/or power convertor? The quality of both can vary widely, and in my experience the USB C cable that comes with the BlendJet is pretty low quality. I've tested some other cables I have and was able to charge MUCH faster than with theirs. Same thing can happen with the power converter. The better quality, the better the results, and it can vary even with name-branded converters. I have only had one problem with my BlendJet, but that one was a doozy: the blade snapped off. Turns out that problem was big enough to warrant a recall and replacement, but not soon enough to prevent me from buying another one, but shelling out for the extended warranty. But I've never had this kind of problem with the batteries. I hope you sent the newer one back under their chintzy 30 day warranty!

Was this a recall replacement? I had one of the recall units, and it’s been 10 months, no replacement. They said in April it would be June….yeah I doubt I’ll ever get it.

It's funny the original one I had never had a problem the replacement one died after 2 months. I have this same problem.
