Impilo yami, umculo wami mina Impilo yami (impilo yami) umculo wami Umculo wami mina (umculo wami) impilo yami Impilo yami umculo wami mina Impilo yami (umculo wami) umculo wami I've been walkin' for days and days, listenin' to you You keep on hummin' the same old tune Impilo yami (umculo wami), umculo wami All of the things that you've been through Match the scars on your face like tattoos Impilo yami, hey bo! (Umculo wami) umculo wami In a couple of days, we could be gone Leave with nothin' and start travelin' home Umculo wami, impilo yami, umculo wami No time to waste, I've been here before In the undergrowth, divided by the single moon He said, "In this town, I'm beggin' to find someone who can save me" And it's been tearin' me apart Well, I've been waitin' And nothing's been that easy for me lately But this city has my heart and I've been waitin' (thandaza, ingoma yemazulu) This city has my heart and I've been waitin' (umculo wami impilo yami) I'm lookin' for somethin' now (umculo wami impilo yami) Don't trip or you might stall out Stop thinkin' you're too tall (umculo wami impilo yami) Magnificent come around Another trip in the cop car (umculo wami impilo yami) Take time to reform, yeah Just give me the fool for a while (umculo wami impilo yami) Why live if you don't fall down? Why live if you don't fall down? (Umculo wami impilo yami) Why live if you don't fall? In this town, I'm beggin' to find someone who can save me (thandaza) And it's been tearin' me apart Well, I've been waitin' And nothing's been that easy for me lately (umculo wami, hey bo!) But this city has my heart She said, "In this town, there's nothin' in my name unless I make it And it's not written in the stars, but I got patience And I'll tell my story even if it breaks me (umculo wami impilo yami) 'Cause this city has my heart Help me with this heavy load Help me with this heavy load Help me with this heavy load Help me with this heavy In this town (ngisize) I'm beggin' to find someone who can save me (ng'yasindwa) And it's tearin' me apart (ng'thule lo mthwalo) Well, I've been waitin' (ngisize) And nothin's been that easy for me lately (ng'yasindwa) (umculo wami, hey bo!) But this city has my heart (ng'thule lo mthwalo) He said in this town (ngisize) I'm beggin' to find someone who can save me (ng'yasindwa) And it's been tearin' me apart (ng'thule lo mthwalo) Well, I've been waitin' (umculo wami impilo yami) And nothin's been that easy for me lately But this city has my heart (ng'thule lo mthwalo) She said in this town (ngisize) there's nothin' in my name unless I make it (ng'yasindwa) And it's not written in the stars, but I got patience (ng'thule lo mthwalo) And I'll tell my story even if it breaks me (umculo wami impilo yami) 'Cause this city has my heart and I've been waitin' (ng'thule lo mthwalo) This city has my heart and I've been waitin' (umculo wami impilo yami) This city has my heart and I've been waitin'

As a South African expat (living in the USA), there are certain South African musicians, and songs, that make me homesick. Then you get a collaboration like this, and I just want to pack it all in and move back home. Well done to two of South Africa's best, for reminding me that despites the oceans that separate us (and the accompanying challenges), South Africa will always be my homeland.

I first saw Jeremy on the tv here in Germany and I was surprised that he was one of our own down there from Africa. "going down south" was trilling to me then. But "this town" is just as we say it in my home Cameroon, " The badest song I ever heard". That means, there is no song that is going to beat this song. I have been listening to this song now for over two weeks and about 15 to 30 times a day. No exaggeration. I mean it. Bro let me know when you are coming to Germany.
