Grime as its called nowadays was created by Wiley as the olders didnt want to let the youngers in the scene so he made his own sound...Eski or Eski beatz then it just got called garage and now grime. I remember calling beats grimey but never classed it as grime lol

UKG from the 90s spawned Garage Rap scene (So Solid and More Fire Crew et al.) and Heartless Crew was part of that scene which is where Wiley, Target, Dizzee et al. all came from.. the FIRST grime album was Dizzee Rascal ‘Boy In Da Corner’ followed by Wiley ‘Treadin On Thin Ice’.. (sounds like u ain’t read the book...!!?)
