Influencer and Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has been blasted by road safety charities after she was filmed eating a McDonalds takeaway while driving her 4x4 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
She had ordered a Big Mac meal, six chicken nuggets, and a mozzarella dipper sharebox and was filmed eating the chicken nuggets while travelling at 60mph.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has warned of the potential 'devastating consequences' of her actions.
However, currently there are no specific laws against eating while driving as long as it doesn't stop you from paying attention.

Eating while driving is very common in the US, but the US has much wider roads and less traffic density.

River has made an excellent point. You DO NOT need to be eating a meal at the wheel. I can understand the most basic sip of water or sucking on a sweet but even then I would do that as a last resort because even momentarily it DOES distract you. People crash because they sneeze for goodness sake! Stop eating at the wheel, get better organised and plan your journey PROPERLY if you do fancy a snack!!!

It’s already against the law to eat while driving you can be done for careless driving/without due care and attention and I’m sure there’s a law that says you should have both hands on the steering wheel at all times unless changing gears.

If your freedom can impact others then its oly fair we look put for the majority, if it does not pose a risk to others then there is no issue. I feel that would be the sensible approach.
