Alvin York is a legend in the U.S. Army, especially the Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his raid on that machine gun nest on Hill 223. On a side note, I know some high school history teachers and college professors that use Sabaton songs to get their students interested in history.

Definitely do more Sabaton, especially the whole The Great War album, and do some history lesson about that song's subject like what you did before. For me, it's recommended to listen to the entirety of The Great War.

Seriously though, any Sabaton song, even a song considered to be their worst, is still some of the best I have ever heard.

Raided a machine gun nest and took 100 prisoners..... bit of an understatement there..... he only had 10 men after the battle and they managed to march more than 10x their number back to allied lines through sheer badassary of a guy who emptied his rifle, took a bayonet charge solo with a pistol, then proceeded to stand there while a german officer emptied his own pistol at him until he emptied his pistol and just went screw it we surrender.

Bought the album as soon as it came out, but I hadn’t seen this video yet. Very cool, indeed! Have you checked out Powerwolf yet? Their musical style is similar to Sabaton, but the lead vocalist is a bit more operatic and the lyrics are horror/religion/tongue in cheek humor themed. Armata Strigoi Live Masters of Rock 2015 would be a good place to start. Fun performance!

Great song and reaction, I love the history Sabaton tells in their songs. When you get a chance check out some Thyrien - Vengeance Through My Soul, they are a Finnish Melodic Death Metal with Folk influences . kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3fZfZt5oqZrfa8 , Have a great day and thanks for your reactions.

There was no 82nd Airborne in WW1, the Airborne units didn't come about till WW2. The 82nd was an infantry unit during WW1, they were known as the All American unit as soldiers came from all 48 states of the USA in 1917. I am a Military History fan and a supporter of our Armed Forces here in the UK. I had family members in the British Armed Forces in all three services. BRITISH SABATON FAN 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
