Jerma talks a lot about how he was lost for pretty much the entirety of his 20s and had absolutely no plan or idea for what he wanted to do in life. He wasn't comfortable until his early-to-mid 30s when things started making sense and working out. It's a relatable story, and it helps inspire me every time I hear it especially when I see how far he got when at one point he was just like me.

I think what makes Jerma so deserving of this award is his humbleness. Never for a second is he even jokingly bragadocius. Never for a second does he take his position for granted. Never for a second does he forget the people that brought him to where he is now. I never really understood the appeal of jerma, and why his fans loved him so much. I don't use twitch or twitter a lot, and I don't know a lot about Jerma, so that kinda explains why. Ngl I teared up, I found jerma's content during the pandemic cause of random clips of him appearing on my youtube recommendations (I think the 1st one was the small enemy spider clip) and It's been an incredible journey since then The dedication he puts on streams and making projects is incredible, and he's undeniably funny intentionally or not. Jerma is definitely one of the best content creators, he literally just used his brain to make people laugh and smile.
