I was super afraid , i don't want to be in pain and i know too much folks business so i don't wanna be spilling their info lol ....sigh ..I'm definitely gonna do it i just hope for the best.

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out today. I was a bit nervous, so I chose to get IV Sedation. My bottom Wisdom teeth were severely impacted while my top ones were already erupted and easy to take out. Love Watching these Wisdom Teeth extraction videos.

I didn't go to this guy, but I had sedation dentistry (IV in the arm) for my root canal and have no memory of the procedure and no pain afterwards. Even though my insurance didn't cover the sedation and it cost me about $800, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Very much worth it, in my opinion.

I had an Army dentist pull my 4 wisdom teeth with just lidocaine it sucked azz. Now having all my teeth removed due to cancer. your vid helps me not fear a surgeon I appreciate it

I had my wisdom teeth removed with an oral surgeon back in 2020. I think they gave me IV sedation as well. Like sleep dentistry. But after it kicked in I remember absolutely nothing until after. It really felt like I had going to sleep. And there may be points where I was talking to the surgeon before they gave me a little bit more, but I remember absolutely none of that. I think I lost the ability to make memories after about 20 to 30 seconds when they push the medication’s in. Because the next thing I knew I heard my name being called and then telling me that I was done. I’ll have that similar sedation for a Cornea procedure in the next month with some propofol. After realizing this was very similar, it may be much less nervous. And I’m ready to go back into the good place again and not remember a lot of the details. I’m glad I am having no more headaches from my wisdom teeth. That was awful. When I watch these videos, you guys are fantastic.

👋 Anyone reading the comments about to have their surgery … let me explain my experience. ( I got them out 5 hours ago ) I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK before hand watching every video possible reading all experiences on reddit and comments on these videos from the good ones to the bad ones. I’ve been nervous since they told me last year they were coming in. It was a peice of CAKE for the people like me who have severe anxiety about medical stuff you will be just fine! I wasn’t worried about the recovery more so the surgery itself, and a little stressed about the IV ( i was put to sleep with IV sedation ) the IV was NOTHING me and the assistant were giggling and I was asking if I should watch him put it in or look away and he promised me it was nothing and maybe id enjoy watching it go in.. I looked away 😭 but it barley felt like anything, like a poke a tiny little prick. they put the thing on to check my blood pressure every 5 minutes and the thing on ur thumb along with some like patches they put on my lower side and chest. Sat there for about 30 minutes with the IV in my arm until the doctor was ready. He came in asked how I was lowered the chair down and put this thing on my neck to monitor my breathing I think he said,, and then he released THE GOOD ( the fluids into the IV ) it was a crazy experience.. like i was out but wasn’t ? all i last remember is seeing is the light and then within seconds it was done. I was so stressed for NOTHING. so glad I went with IV sedation because I didn’t feel a darn thing! 😂 and the loopyness afterwards ain’t all that bad either. I would definitely do it over again and take away all the stress from before because it was nothing.

Hey it’s currently 4 am and I’m extremely nervous reading everything on Reddit and quora and I ran out of things to read so I’m on KZbin comment sections and I have the evaluation tomorrow and I’m so nervous I’ve never had surgery and I’m scared of the dentist and I’m just always scared of everything when it comes to dentists and doctors please help me is it really not that bad? Is it over in a blink of an eye??

Y’all I’m getting two of my back teeth out in 6 hours and when I tell you I’m scared .. I’M SCARED. I’m so terrified I could pass out. I have a fear of anything medical, especially the dentist and surgeries. I’m having IV sedation for my anxiety but even the IV sedation scares me because I don’t like not being in control of my body. I’m also scared of getting dry socket and something going wrong. These videos help calm me down and deep down I know everything will be okay but my brain is telling me to panic. :(

🚨update🚨 It actually wasn’t bad at all and he even said they can save my other tooth so he only took one out. Being in the waiting room was absolutely terrifying and I felt like I was going to pass out. When I went into the room I told him and the nurse I was extremely scared and he assured me everything will be okay. The scariest parts were the needles and the IV being inserted into my arm... the tooth pulling was absolutely fine and afterwards I laughed. This is day 2 of my extraction and I feel like a tooth hasn’t even been pulled, I’m completely fine and can eat normally but I’m sticking to soft foods and salt water rinses. I’m very thankful everything went to plan.

@@mahogany_honey I had it done just a couple months ago. There's nothing to be scared of. I was a nervous wreck before going in but it was awesome. The only thing you will remember is getting the iv put in (which only feels like popping a little pimple) and you'll be completely knocked out. I didn't come back to my senses until I was already home and halfway through a bowl of mac and cheese lol!

I need to get the root extracted from my bottom canine tooth. Top of tooth broke off years ago. I'm terrified of needles. I'm getting the IV sedation but I'm terrified of all needles so the the thought of getting the IV put in is freaking me out as much as the surgery itself.

I got a root canal awake at 14-16 yrs old I didn't feel anything. I'm getting it removed now at 24 years. I got no crown for it so it's bad now. I'm going in on the 20th then when I'm ready I'll get 3 more teeth out. Hard to bite down and talk.

I had a root canal with just the novacaine. It did not hurt. It was uncomfortable thought and I thought I would puke a couple of times but I just asked to sit up and it went away. I had no abscess or infection so that was one of the reasons why it was painless. I already had the appt scheduled for a different procedure but the day before the tooth started to hurt so they dedcided to do it before it got worse. However, I never got a perm crown and 5 years later, I had that tooth removed.

I will have my mom and boyfriend with me, so I'm sure they will offer support. Do you let patients play music or something to soothe them?

She let me play Sia music and gave me sunglasses to settle down until they put me under. I hope yours went well too! I am now able to eat sandwiches and crunchy foods again. :)

I got the IV and everything and they put some pain medicine and a little bit of that sleepy stuff and they took the teeth out. I'm surprised because it felt like 10 minutes but it was actually 45 minutes. It was so quick for me.

Xanax may be more accessible since the one they gave him can have serious side effects if you drink alcohol. Also xanax is stronger i think. Def depends from doctor to doctor to avoid medication interactions
