Here is my proposal for an 18 game season. 1) Expand the active roster to 65+ and keep the taxi squad. 2) 20 weeks to play 18 games in regular season. 3) 2 bye weeks spaced with one in weeks 6-10 and the other in weeks 11-15. 4a) Games only on Sunday/Saturday or 4b) Thursday games week 8-13 with both teams getting their 2 bye weeks before and after the game. Meaning if a team has a Thursday game then the team doesn't play the Sunday before and Sunday after the Thursday of the game. This is from the POV of players.
