Jerry Cantrell is so good. I saw him about a month before this, in Sacramento at the state fair, opening for Metallica. He played a lot of the same AIC songs and closed with the exact same cover. Great day. It was the day before my 19th birthday, and my dad took me to the show.

Dude thanks for the post! I was lucky enough to be at this show. First time seeing Jerry and with Sean. Was an awesome night! Saw him here at Lupo's in 01' and 02' again. Great shows too. Never did get to see Layne back in those days unfortunately but this was the next best thing. And for only $8.94 for a ticket Lol. Hard to believe!

I'm from southeastern Mass. and I dont remember AIC coming around here at all. It was Boston usually. Do you remember any AIC shows here besides real early when I think they did Lupos or maybe even Living Room before many people knew them. But I dont remember many AIC shows in this area at all. He had an enthusiastic crowd that night for sure. They made him feel welcome here.

I only remember them opening for Van Halen in 91' at the Providence Civic Center and Lollapalooza at the Quonset State Airport in 93'. That's all I know of and missed both shows unfortunately. If they did ever play Lupos or the Living Room early on I never heard about it. It's a shame how fast it came to an end. As far as I remeber AIC cancelled their tour with Metallica in 94' and did a handfull of shows with Kiss in 96' with the last show ever being July 3rd opening for them. @@downvan77 Yeah that whole group of bands from Seattle never played here a lot. Nirvana played Providence really early in the career and western Ma near the end. Pearl Jam played a few times mostly after the glory days and Soundgarden played the most probably clubs and small venues in Boston.

No doubt. I know Soundgarden played at the Living Room in 89' a place I used to go to a lot but didn't know who they were then. Kills me! and I just recently read that Pearl Jam played at little old Club Baby Head in Providence the summer of 91' and Nirvana played there the day after Nevermind was released in September. Who knew? right before they were both about to break. Just didn't know. The one band that always came around and stilll does is the Melvins. Who I'm ashamed to have not seen yet. Did see Fantomas at Lupos though, but would love to see the Melvins. Just can't get out ike I used to.@@TheEWFX29

Oh i never did see Jerrye fawlllll dooouuunnsssz pretty recient where people said he had. Anyone else? I kept trying to see what peeps ment unless he did when whoever was filming mived the xamera. Its a winder they all dont fall looks like its dark up there with all them cables running its pretty wild we dont see every artist wipe out at one time or another. I never saw it though. Im glad. While not as powerful as Layne, I love hearing Jerry sing. I love Jerry's voice. I prefer that over hearing someone else sing Layne's part with Jerry. When it's just Jerry, I'm good. Otherwise, I'll just listen to old AIC and Jerry's solo stuff. I can't listen to the stuff with William. No disrespect. ❤

@@maryrice3754 Yeah those clubs were probably closed by then. The original AIC were probably there. I know Pearl Jam played at BabyHead and a lot of earlier band played at the original Living Room. Faith No More played there. I saw Guns N Roses at the original Living Room.
