Nice i just got myself skeeters's broom because i love red leave, small bushy leaves and upright (but dwarf slow growing) for small garden! check check check. To bad SAngo kaku is kinda of a big monster over 20 year (rules in Belgium now protect ppl who hate trees, not who love them so if they demand at tree over 2 meter to be cut they get it, have to stay relative small).

@@acer_p_bonsaiOh Dwarf maples are cool enough :D They are my rescue. And in worst case pruning. I also select trees that are upright but split in two (or 3-4) big branches. This will normally cause them to grow slower, succesfull on Aconitifolium so far (Dancing Peacock). My orange dream also has a very nice U shape, and on the left split branch another U, the branches don't hang, but go straight up. Osakasuki is the most dangerous (8 meter potential) i chose a 6 split stem with some foliage below even, so hopeful it grows slower, the garden center topped (cut) out the 6 branches, so hopefully they will split further there. Although to be honest this tree i put 2 meter from fence (hard in smaller garden but did) so the rules don't apply to this tree :D I'm searching for (in ground) ultra small staying dissectum (dwarf) it seems this is harder to find then i thought even Red Dragon ultimately becomes 3 meter.
