Regardless of whether you're a Dead fan or not, this is easily one of the greatest Beatles covers I've ever heard. And its hard to do them justice. Many people have tried.

grateful dead are the worlds ( #best ) cover band ... lol thay do them better then the bands that wrote them ... #rip 👉 #roberthunter 👈
@taidrury844511 жыл бұрын
I used to think phil lesh held a lesser role in the Grateful dead. Boy was I wrong. He is right up there with jerry, and not to mention an all around awesome person.
@joelev90696 жыл бұрын
Well the bass player is the guy who creates the whole way a band functions. The Dead with a different bass player would sound more different than if they replaced the big guy. In short, bass and drums is the cake, everyone else is just icing.
@codyagans18945 жыл бұрын
Phil and Jerry carried the dead imo. I underestimated Phil a long time but then I honed in on that bass. He's amazing

@@matthewlawton9241 that makes perfect sense! Wier was kind of a hybrid of sense. Thanks for that enlightenment.

I love the GD, but Phil's kind of an asshole. Kicked one of the original Pranksters (Merlin) out of Jerry's funeral for a wisecrack that made Bob Dylan laugh, who left with him.

there is something special about the shows at the Warfield. the way the crowd sounds, how close you actually were to the stage made the energy amazing. Jerry always sounded the best there. I feel extreamly lucky to have seen jgb there on many occasions. soo many memories. Thank you for posting this and making my day.

Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are you Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence, open up your eyes Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies The wind is low, the birds will sing That you are part of everything Dear Prudence, won't you open up your eyes? Look around round Look around round round Look around Dear Prudence, let me see you smile Dear Prudence, like a little child The clouds will be a daisy chain So let me see you smile again Dear Prudence, won't you let me see you smile? Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are you Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?

to juli: the gd and the jgb were more than bands. they were true innovators, and unfortunately many didn't get to see jerry play live. it was mostly magic. he personally ruined it for me to see others such as the who, santana, hot tuna, winwood, dylan, modest mouse and many others try to play live. there are special people who are absolutely not like the rest of society.

that's heart-breaking, man, truly f-ing heartbreaking. plz refrain from using the T-word in a sentence with 'deadheads'. I mean really...ouch!!
@tonydanis14807 жыл бұрын
JL Waddey so you grant yourself the authority to determine who is really a Deadhead and what a Deadhead is allowed to think and say? I've been a DH since 1972 , attended hundreds of shows, talked to 10,000s of Deadheads and never heard anyone make so close-minded a statement as you. I am actually shocked. By the way, apparently you don't know that Weir and Trump have socialized on numerous occasions and that Trump once introduced Ratdog on stage? There's a New Yorker magazine article that Chronicles this, not making it up. Sounds like you have some serious maturing to do.
@claymationwaves4 жыл бұрын
Every time someone disses Trump I think the only other option to win then would be Hillary...... Are you fucking serious I would vote Trump any day over that nightmare GOOD RIDDANCE FOREVER BITCH!!!!
@natezarate541310 ай бұрын
And we should all care why…???? Most Deadheads are here for the music and could give a shit about who you and your friends vote for! Promoting division is pretty much the exact opposite of what Jerry and the Dead were all about… hints why a mostly liberal band and fan base didn’t mind you guys hanging out with them!

Correct, it was a special deal that ran for one week only. You had to buy the Jerry tee to get the download code. I also got the 3/1/80 release, and that was a mess (took them almost 6 months to get me the CD after paying for it; promised everyone who pre-ordered a free download and they never came through). The Jerry site also had the date of this show incorrect when they first listed it. I'm not sure who is running shop over there, but they are nothing like dead.net.
