I have this entire show that I recorded Off of TNN I think it was back in 1992. Recorded onto to VHS and later converted onto DVD. A gem to hold onto.

Jimmy actually credits Jerry Jeff Walker w starting his career. He convinced him to ride down to S FL. The rest is History.

These two have more stories between them than you can believe. There's one Jimmy Buffett tells of he & Jerry Jeff drunk on Duval St. in Key West, doing what can best be described as a crawl from one place to the next. Each blames the other for the trouble they got into. If you're lucky you've heard one or two like this one. They're often the best part of the show because they're true & so goddamned funny! *Sad to note that Greg 'Fingers' Walker has retired due to the effects of Alzheimer's disease.

That sucks to hear that Fingers is suffering from Alzheimer’s. The first time I saw Buffet play was in a little bar in a strip mall just outside of Wrightsville beach, NC called Major Riley’s Camp. That night Jimmy, Fingers, Mr. Utley, Deborah McColl, and a couple other people who time has faded their names from my memory. The night was rather special for me because I had just turned 18 and I was looking for a place to party (back then many states including North Carolina were civilized and you could legally drink beer at 18) especially when it was learn it was my birthday and besides not having a bar bill that night Jimmy lead the bar in singing Happy Birthday to me. Unfortunately the bar closed a short the winter of that year. Jimmy and company were supposed to play again the next night but as the story goes Fingers took the bus on a late night food run and things didn’t go so well or at least the story that I heard.

Everytime I see or hear Buffet he spends 90% of the time talking rather than performing, which probably makes sense, since he might be the most overrated artist of all time!

LOL if you do not understand the importance of storytelling you should not listen to JB. OR Jerry Jeff or Willie
