Jerry could do it all. He was Boogie Woogie, rock and roll and country blues tied into one. He was on the top of the charts until he married his 13 year old cousin which pretty much wrecked his career at the time. He was actually innocent in that old Louisiana way he saw nothing wrong with it but he did make a comeback he was one of the best in my view.

So, no more hits in the rock music world. A few years after this occurred, he made a comeback in country music. This song is considered country.

Elvis, Jerry lee, Johnny Cash and Carl perkins all started out rock. The latter 3 went country although i consider Jerry a blues man too. There is an album called "The Million Dollar Quartet" with the 4 of these guys at Sun studio in Memphis at their beginning. But Elvis and Jerry got their style from listening to the blues by sneaking into blues clubs when they were growing up along with listening to country and gospel. Elvis put all three types together and blew the fucking doors wide open for black and white folks . Sorry for rambling. Just love all this music
