The Jerry Lewis Labor Telethon is a part of television history. I never missed that show, often staying up half the night just to watch. Sure it was over the top at times and Jerry often acted like he alone was saving the world, but it was an incredible experience and much is owed to Jerry for his efforts.

He is a loving and devoted father and his love for the children whom this telethon benefited could never be measured. On a personal level I thank Jerry for the great works he accomplished getting Muscular Dystrophy the attention it deserves.

Jerry, like many of his fading vaudeville era, is a perfectionist because he worked very hard to make a success of himself and put on a good show and felt that everybody around him should have the same standards and work ethic as he did. Had you seen the entire segment prior to asking for the lights to be turned down, you would've known that he complimented his entire crew for the job they did. he wasn't berating anybody about the lights,it was just his way of asking.

He was a disgusting human being who made millions, personally off of this telethon. He was a terrible human being, and anyone who doesn't know that is clueless about how this prick was in reality. All one has to do is look at how he terrorized his own family and cut them completely out of his will and left the mother of all of his sons in poverty. He was an evil person and his reputation as being a total asshole is very well earned.

(continued) He may be the last true clown the world will ever know, and he’ll go away without large numbers of us knowing to shed a tear. And meanwhile the MDA can carry on as though they never needed him, Harry Shearer can go on making funny voices and the world can go on jeering at Krusty the Clown and snoring through Harry’s stuff on dvd. It’s so depressing the only thing I know to do is to watch Jerry’s movies (especially The Patsy and The Ladies Man). They always cheer me up.

I grew up laughing and dancing at the duo of Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin, The Rat Pack, Louie Armstrong, Bing Crosby & Bob Hope, Tony Bennet, etc, this sadly the last performance of this MDA Telethon 2010 was not only sad but emotionally involved by the mans ability to know the end is nigh. shame on those responsible for such sad times in front of the Camera and indeed the world. God Bless You Jerry, thank you pal for all the good times, Films, Laughs, and least of all the hard work you put in throughout your lfe for other folk. Clive & Pamela

Say what you want about him being arrogant at times...it takes incredible guts and devotion for an established star like him to appear before millions of people when he is dealing with a serious illness and does not look his best. Guts-guts- guts and a lot of love for others. M.D.A made a major mistake not working things out with him. His place as a great humanitarian is secured in American History. Thanks Jerry.

So true. I don't know if Jerry views KZbin or even goes on the internet but if he ever does - or if someone close to Jerry could ever show him this page.. I have a genuine deep love for Jerry too. I'm but a spring chicken at the young age of 43 but I grew up loving Jerry's movies, all he does for children with MS and especially his "realness" as anyone can witness the depth of his emotions and his compassion. One can't help but feel as close to him as a true member of one's family. Jerry!

He loves his kids an when he was singing his last walk alone song ; you can hear at the one part where the deep anguish heart breaking sound from his soul just encompasses the heart of love and dedication with pure honesty starts at :54 then it reach's the fullness of his love 1:18 an on,,,,, ..
