I've watched him for years. In terms of physical stature I related to rice far better than most receivers who were fast and stronger. The one thing that I have not seen any other receiver do as good as Rice was his he had zero wasted movement and could beat guys off of the line of scrimmage and enough years and timing with a hall of fame quarterback and you'll have a sweat connection. Rice looked fast because he could make defenders go off balance which gave him his crazy separation and he could break his route in a flash. I mean just watch him run a hook route and oh my goodness. The one thing his game lacked was making contested catches, but for him those were rare.

The only thing Moss was better than Rice at was going vertical. Watching Rice run his routes is a thing of beauty. Moss never in his career moved with the same fluidity as Rice did. He didn't have the same cutting ability or stop and go moves like him. If I want a hail mary? Pick Moss. For every single other throw? Rice.

Montana and Young were so good at hitting rice in stride. those 3 had excellent chemistry together. Jerry Rice didn't get caught for using "stickum". Jerry in an interview simply stated early in his career when it was widely used still in the NFL to gain an edge that he also used it. He stated it nonchalantly because it's use wasn't a secret. Rice is so far and above the greatest receiver the NFL has ever seen, his stickum use is irrelevant. Especially considering we know it was used by NFL receivers up to the late 80's when they cracked down on it.

Steve Largent should be on that list somewhere. When Largent retired, he held all major NFL receiving records, including: most receptions in a career (819), most receiving yards in a career (13,089), and most touchdown receptions (100). He was also in possession of a then-record streak of 177 consecutive regular-season games with a reception. He also holds the distinction as the first receiver in NFL history to achieve 100 touchdown receptions in his career.
