Jerry Tarkanian was a man's man. A very real and down to earth mam with a great mind and a even greater heart. I was lucky to have known him since he 1st came to UNLV. What a brilliant coach and amazing motivator. His greatest legacy was his Love for his family and his player's and the fans. He had wit and a great sense of humor and his smile lit up the room. He is a legend but more than that a real person in a who wouldn't compromise the truth He was a father figure and a man who brought happiness and hope to our city and the whole country. Surely he is enjoying March madness from the best seat in heaven. God bless you coach

This is beautiful. When his wife looks up when she realizes that she's reading the praise of the man she spent her life with, was a very amazingly beautiful moment. Man's man

RIP Coach Tarkanian #TarkTheShark #UNLV #RunninRebels #JerryTarkanian -being a devious misguided youth during them '90 & '91 Runnin' Rebels years, it was guaranteed i was glued to the TV during them games, reading articles of how you took on Us kids who everyone else had left behind or figured we werent worth the hassle... knowing out there in this world ppl took chances on we who figured had no outs was inspiration enough. you were the greatest coach in that 13 yr old navajo boys eyes, hes now in his later 30's BUT still thinks the same. *rest in peace coach

Tark, the Old Ball Coach... Yeah Coach K is truly great and deserving of all the accolades he's accumulated. But we know that he woke up for an entire year straight with nightmares of the historic beat down at the hands of the Shark! R.I.P

Wow so cool to watch an Armenian make it far in the basketball world. 🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲 now I have to learn everything about him

During Tarks reign with the Rebels they had a habit of knocking of the country's top teams. Especially power houses who were ranked number 1. If I remember correctly North Carolina... the admiral and the midshipmen and even Shaq and LSU were upset by the Rebels!!! Woooo!

Brings A Tear To My Eye. I Last Saw Mr. Tarkanian At The UNLV vs. UNC Game A Couple Of Years Back (I Saw Him On TV And I Saw UNLV Upset UNC). He Looked Good. I Wonder What Happened To Him (He Looks As Though He's Got Some Type Of Cognitive Impairment, But That Could Just Be The Effects Of A Heart Attack). I Hope He Regains His Strength (Health).

It's a disgrace that this man wasn't inducted earlier when he was healthy enough in mind and spirit to deserve an honor he deserved many years back. Shame on you Hoops of Hall. Bobby Knight said this great coach was the greatest defensive coach in the history of the game, and that he could get his players to exert more effort than even his guys at IU.

No way should this guy be in the hof. Cheaters don't belong
@g-centergaming58032 жыл бұрын
Yes, because none of those other coaches so revered and in the HOF ever cheated in recruiting. He and his kids won those games at over an 80% clip, and gave opportunities to young men who otherwise never would have had one. Just say that you don't know anything about the game; it'll be less embarrassing for you. Thanks for your profound comment, lil' guy.
