@@SparkleInYourEyes2024 My mother lived an average life with no special diet but avoided sugar and looks 20 yrs younger than her age. So do a lot of women in my family. Science says melanated people especially black skin ages 15-20 yrs slower than non melanated skin. So black woman magic still has a lot to do with it. It's an advantage whether people choose to accept it or not and I didn't need science to tell me what I see all around me.

@@lareinelester685 You still need to take proper care of yourself. Just being Black is not going to cut it. Whenever I go visit family in the South I am amazed at how big and fat a lot of the Black women are. Even the young Black girls are horribly overweight and they look old for their age because of the weight. That proves my point that taking care of yourself overrides having dark skin.

They put it as politely then anybody else would have so I will say it the Good Times Animation is a disgrace to the legacy of the show and for it to be 2024 why are they still pondering to the stereotypes they has been cast upon us Netflix and all involved should be ashamed 😒😒😒

OMG, I saw one episode of that disgraceful "Good Times" animation reboot and I couldn't BELIEVE what I saw. Florida, Willona, Bookman, Keith & Norman Lear are all turning over in their graves....

I tried to start watching it last week and was disgusted by the storylines. I totally agree there were a lot of stereotypes in it and I just couldn’t keep watching it. Unfortunately it doesn’t represent the original sitcom.

When i was a kid i watched it and just enjoyed it, i was born in 1977, many years later i watch it again, probably in my 30's or 40's and as i am watching it again i am a bit taken aback by how attractive Thelma is in the show. I never noticed before back then.
