Is this like air carbon arc gouging with liquid cooling instead of air to protect the bit and to keep the hole concentrated to a small specific area?

Great explanation.

is this simply a water based coolant or is it a dielectric liquid? does the electrode physically move up and down at a certain rate or is it a pulsing current? great videos thank you

What is the protocol for failed extractions? Considering th natural if your business I do not think it would we fair to hold he company accountable
@toddmiller53224 жыл бұрын
I know from a comment on a different thread about this business that the guy is extremely reasonable, only charged 50.00 to do a single tap removal and you have to consider he loses some of that in materials and electricity. So it has to be looked at the right way. Someone else screwed it up, that's why they are there and they've effectively already lost the part. This is their last chance to fix their screwup, not greedily expect a small businessman to cover their screwup that already happened.
@XcessiveNinja179 жыл бұрын
If I understand this correctly - the purpose is to remove material without affecting the threading? For a small part like this, what would be the cost of machining a new part?
@tomgrafton86819 жыл бұрын
ssfsx17 Yes, cost est.55.00
@totensiebush9 жыл бұрын
+Tom Grafton I'd expect quite a bit more thanks to aircraft stuff. It also depends on the scale of production, the more you're making the cheaper each one is.

Dear Tom, Hurricane Matthew did a number on my shop and I was hoping you could help recommend a new EDM for me. I had an old Rawlmikes Tap Buster that I used in conjunction with my milling machine, it was a small portable unit with an automatic feed and you could also use it in the field and set up clay dams to pool EDM fluid. My unit is old, it's not solid state, it had the beautiful warm glow of electron tubes (I'm going to miss the glow). Anyhow, could you recommend an American made device similar to what I had with the auto-feed and portable enough to carry around or run in a milling machine. Thanks for your time and any information that you can provide. Sincerely, Michael Burke
