Thats the trick of it... they stay cool. It is only impulse and high frequency but not much ampere. It is not welding it is producing short sparks to blast away metal. you can do that with 30V and 1a with a lab power source.

If you are boring holes to remove broken bolts hex isnt a very good shape. Torx is much better if you can get it

Very true, thats why i made the hole twice as deep to examine its practicality in that capacity . I was hoping the deeper pit would give us more torque before it strips
