Jersey Joe Walcott defends the heavyweight championship of the world against 'The Brockton Blockbuster', Rocky Marciano. This was Walcott's second defense of the title. Because of his advanced age he was the underdog, but was still far ahead before the KO. There would therefore be a rematch the following year.

@TG7111P it wasa nice short hook. Didnt really do any damage to Rocky though---he was up almost instantly. Loved Joe Walcott. Very slick, good puncher, great footwork and vastly underrated. Had misfortune of peaking between Joe Louis and rocky's reign

As far as can be figured the Walcott-Marciano 1 fight's fifth round has been long lost.
